Haha, well I am just happy I don't need to add an intona to the chain for those 2 dacs. Probably not going to bother to try another dac without isolation to prove that the intona isolator works. lol

Perhaps it really takes that much more work to make a great usb 2.0 cable to perform as good as a up to spec usb 3.0 cable in terms of data and power management? the fact is I have now unplugged the intona isolator and just connect the intona usb 3.0 cable directly to my ifi pro and cyan 2 and could not detect any differences with or without the intona isolator so I guess all is good

And those stainless steels kitchen faucet piping of the intona industrial usb cable makes sure no one can cut off my connection during music session!!!! 😂

Better mechanical grip with the USB 3 connector According to Miska, USB 3 is also spec'd better in power/noise/data management compared to USB 2 Not sure if anyone can hear any differences tho.

Btw, I just got these intona usb 3.0 cables a couple of days ago. Great cables, the built was excellent, fit nice and snug with the Holo Cyan 2 and my ifi Pro idsd that uses usb 3 ports!!!!

Sooo, I played around with the usb connection last night and realized that by connecting the fitlet3 NAA usb 3 port to the intona 7055-C usb 3 port to my dsc2 dac that uses usb 2, it’s screwing up the sound. I now connected the fitler3 NAA usb 2 port to my old intona 7054 that supports usb 2.0 then to the dsc2, the sound has improved dramatically, much cleaner in the mids, even the timing sounds much more correct, it’s like a different dac!!! initially I thought things like that shouldn’t matter since usb format should be backward compatible, I guess not really…

I have not tried that but wonder if I use a NAA, can I use one usb port to connect to a dac and another usb port to connect to another dac at the same time and simply use hqplayer output settings to select which dac I use?

I know the price is at least doubled hahahaha. i don’t know if the sound quality is doubled
