I think it was just a minor update. improved control of the internal HDMI board (prevents sporadic loss of the HDMI module firmware under rare operation conditions)

Thank you droffen. I believe the DAC 200 has an update as well. V1.21.

Regarding the DAC 200 Vu meters lighting. On one of the other T+A products called the Caruso, you can cycle the light coming from the bottom of the component. Would it be possible to add a color cycling mode to the DAC 200 Vu meters? Also is it possible to only have the Vu light meters on, but not the OLED screen? Of course, these questions are hypothetical but I think it would be fun to have those features. I completely understand they don't enhance the sound in any way, but more of the personalization of the component. Just some friendly suggestions.

I’ll try it again and see. Good observation that the file size doesn’t match.

The file size of the .txt file is 258kb

Yes, that is exactly what happens. I downloaded it directly from the T+A website. There is a software update link that I used. Thank you. I’ll try the link you provided me.

Hello, I am attempting to perform an update on the DAC 200 using the usb to RJ45 adapter from T+A. I am running into some problems and need some assistance. I get to the point where the update tool recognizes the DAC 200 and I select the file. However the update button is still grayed out. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. Please help.

I have a question about the MP 200 when using with the DAC 200. I have listened for many hours using my T+A MP 200 connected directly to the DAC 200 and I have compared it to using my computer to connect to the DAC 200 to stream from services like Qobuz and Tidal. I prefer the sound of the MP 200 when it comes to streaming and use the DAC 200 with my computer when I want to listen to DSD. Is there an advantage to using the T+A MP 200 with the DAC 200? After many hours of listening I find myself really enjoying the sound of the MP 200.

@droffen What HDMI slot are you plugged into on the DAC 200? Have you tried plugging into HDMI 3?
-
I think you can adjust the volume if you have a ROON Nucleus connected to the DAC 200 via USB.

Is the DAC 200 a true non-oversampling DAC? I was informed that some DACs are not true oversampling DACs. I do not fully understand what would make a DAC a true non-oversampling DAC. Thank you in advance for any help or advice on this l.

I have a question that is about volume control. I use a computer as my music server and I also have Roon and HQ Player installed. I use an NAA adapter that plugs into the DAC 200 usb in. With this current setup I cannot control the volume. Will RS232 allow me to control volume using this setup?

Hello all, Does HQ Player perform better if you are using a NAA? I use HQ Player Desktop and I connect USB to my DAC ( TA DAC 200). I have seen on the forums about people using an NAA. They run HQ Player to the NAA into the DAC. Is there a performance advantage going this route? What is the difference between HQ Player Desktop vs HQ Player embedded? I noticed that HQ Player embedded gives you more settings? Forgive me if these questions have already been asked.
