  1. @jelt2359Amazing that it sounds great even without the "special" USB driver's from Taiko. That would be less "spaghetti" as well😅
  2. Deleted as questions answered later in the thread
  3. DSD128 does indeed work with SRC-DX/DAVE. I can't try DSD256 as I don't have any files atm because I have converted them to PCM 705/768 previously with PGGB. I'll get the native files from my office later this week to confirm that it does not work.
  4. @Zaphod Beeblebrox With the new PGGB (PCM + DSD); can 16/44 files processed to DSD256 be potentially better than PCM 705.6? I still use DAVE/DC4;ARC6/SRC-DX so I think I am limited to those rates.
  5. Well done Rajiv; very interesting article indeed. Apart from all the great points so far I was also intrigued by how well versed and musically learned the producer must be to collaborate with a conductor of such calibre.
  6. Just a follow-up on this for my friend with the the Mola Mola Tambaqui driving ATC SCM150ASLT active speakers. I did 3 albums for him at p128 32/384; 1. Muddy Waters-Folk Singer (DSD64) 2. Musik Von Einem Anderen Stern (16/44) 3. Cowboy Junkies Whites Off Earth Now!! (16/44) Attached are his comments from our chat.
  7. Hi All, I have a friend with a Mola Mola DAC that I want to share the PGGB magic with. I have a Chord Dave/SRC-DX so have been proceeding 24/768 for myself. Anybody know what settings would be best for a test on the Mola Mola. He doesn't have a strong enough PC to try himself. G
  8. Thanks Alex for your sincerity in this matter. I sympathise with your predicament but am also frustrated at our situation as customers. With the "green" light lit does that narrow the likely location of the problem on the board so that It might be fixable in the field? With what I'm sure is my simplistic thinking; could it be a failure of one or all of the supercaps which might be easy to replace? I just hate to junk these units completely😪
  9. I had the same issue recently with both LPS 1 and LPS 1.2. I tested the output of both with a multimeter and sure enough the output is near 0V. I reached out to Uptone who confirmed that both units have failed. Unfortunately parts are now difficult to source due to supply chain issues and so Uptone no longer sell any more nor are they repairable. I am not sure how long these units are supposed to last but I am disappointed considering how much they cost.

Hi Miska, I am still having an issue with Qobuz streaming even with 4.16.2 where there is a brief lag at the end of a track when HQP is loading the next track. This is with "Freewheel" and "Prefetch" engaged. Perhaps the mechanism is different when playing local files as it is always seamless. Another thing I notice is that "Random" play doesn't seem to work.
  11. Strange; I believe I have build #38 as well

Hi Jussi. If the current streamed track is already preloaded in RAM, what would explain the dropout in the last 5 secs of the current track when the next track starts to load in my case? Engaging "freewheel" and modifying buffer settings don't seem to make any difference in my case.

I tired 100ms buffer with "freewheel" engaged but it made to difference. Still a brief dropout at 4-5sec from the end of the track with a surge in network activity. I couldn't find a way into SysTray to adjust the buffer from driver control but I really appreciate you trying to help me.

These are my settings. I changed the buffer settings from default as I was getting irregular but frequent dropouts during playback both from stored files and streaming.

It seems to only happen with streaming. Not using NAA Internet is >80MBPs and network is FMC. CPU load is 1-2% I was watching the Ethernet throughput in "task manager" and the dropout seems to coincide with the surge during pre-load even with "freewheel" mode checked.

Did you on 4.15.0/1? I'm on Windows.

I'm still getting some presumed "buffering" issues but only at the end of a track. The last 1-2secs of a track getting some dropouts.

Sorry; please disregard boy last post. It was a brain fade moment as I was running 4.10.2🤯

@AudioDoctor Thanks but when I am in album view I only get a "blank" search bar.

I updated to 4.15 but can't seem to locate the streaming option in the drop down menu on the left. There are only 2 options. My Server and localhost. My HQP client is 4.10.2 which I use on my Mackbook to connect to my Windows server. Am I missing something here? Please help.

I have had annoying clicks and pops with my system as well recently in both 4.13 and 4.14 whether via NAA or direct. I noticed your settings show the buffer time at "default". I am not sure what the "default" buffer is but I just played around with this and no more clicks/pops when I set it to anything else but "default". Not sure if this would make any sense but @Miskamay have an answer. Give that a try.
  22. Hi Rajiv. When you tried Mitch's convolution EQ filters on the SR1a using your PGGB files, did you use a noise shaper as per Miska's comment?
  23. Hi ZB. Are you also working on a way to make "off line" DSD conversion to PGGB less memory intensive?
  24. Thanks Rajiv. Great work. Especially like the way you link your evaluation playlist. Looking forward to part 2 and your take on eq. @PriaptorDoes RAAL offer a "better amp" than the HSA-1b? "Of course, the "while I'm at it attitude" crept in and I decided, a system like this needs a "better" DAC as well as the better amp that RAAL sells and on and on."
  25. Does this look correct. I want to combine tracks 1-3 then 15-17. G
