  1. That was the crucial clue: I use a Black USB dongle. After I removed it, HQPlayer started the trial phase without any problems. I tried another USB port, but unfortunately HQPlayer does not start. Either the USB dongle is defective or the synchronisation with your server is failing for some reason. I will send you an e-mail with my fingerprint.
  2. I have been running this version for some time: hqplayer-embedded-5.7.0-x64avx2.7z Now I'm encountering a strange error that hqplayerd won't start properly. Here with hqplayerd for 1-2 sec Here without hqplayerd I always keep the old version as a backup: exactly the same thing happens there. Before I check my hardware, I'd like to ask whether everything is running well with HQPlayer embedded? I know that there have been problems in the past when @Miskas servers were down. HQPlayer always connects to home. 😉
  3. My solution has been in use by many people for around 3 years and cools excellently. 👍
  4. It can also be done more elegantly 😃 It depends on the NIC. Solarflare X2522 starts to throttle without cooling and switches off at some point.
  5. Have you tried /storage when entering the path?
  6. Respect! 👍I think you're the first person to try this with a Solarflare NIC. Which NIC are you talking about? X2522, for example, gets very hot and needs to be cooled either with a fan or, better still, passively. Otherwise the chip will throttle and even shut down. Clock cables are very sensitive. They should be kept as short as possible. This could be a problem with your test setup. Incidentally, high-quality clocks are installed: Stratum 3 compliant oscillator; Oscillator drift 0.37 PPM per day (c. 32 ms/day); oscillator accuracy < 4.6PPM over 20 years. 7. Thank you for your results. A forum should provide different results so that everyone can decide for themselves what sounds best in their system. In fact, smaller buffer values mean a more powerful CPU, as it is under more load. And it also depends on the hardware of the interfaces. For example, a Solarflare X2522 NIC is characterised by the lowest latencies and jitter. The buffer values no longer play a major role here.
  8. I can highly recommend this German company. They designed and built the Solarflare X2522 cooling kit for me.
  9. Which room correction software do you use? I don't think the phase diagram from HQPlayer helps to correct the timing for convolution. I use Acourate for this. In the picture below, the displayed phase in the middle helps me to decide whether I need to correct pre-ringing. The last quality control is the step response as shown in the picture below.
  10. I assume you are using the USB and network ports on the motherboard? Here you can try audiophile PCIe cards from e.g. JCAT or Pink Faun. Under Windows, you can try loading a different Internet TCP profile. Look Speed up your network under Windows Or you can increase the priority for network activities. 11. I use Stabilant 22 with isopropanol. If the contact surfaces are contaminated, prior cleaning with isopropanol is recommended. I only use small amounts per application. I have been using it for years and can recommend it.
  12. Such as HQPlayer require manual setup. In Windows Explorer, enter shell:startup in the address bar. The current autostart folder will then be displayed. Here you can store programme shortcuts (do not move the programmes) that will be started at the next boot.
  13. Nobody hears like a bat. But there seem to be side effects as to why ultrasound is indirectly audible. The different opinions have been treated appreciatively in this thread.
