Yes it makes a big difference. I cascaded the Melco S10 and a S100/2 switches using the new DAC from Melco and that’s made a remarkable sound difference. I’m also using JPLAY and I think that’s the best SW for using a Melco.

Hello Guys Hope everyone is well? Just reaching out to other Melco users… to get the most out of our servers… would be great to post what cables / tweaks etc you all use… I am using the Melco N1-S38 and have cascaded the S10 and S100/2 switches.

Are there any settings which further improve the sound quality? -
Hello. I have been trying a SIM based TP link Router ( generic power supply included in the box ) instead of the generic fiber router from my service provider powered by ifi 12v power supply. I take my copper LAN cable to my audio chain in the following way - please see the chain below- I have cascaded the S100/2 and S10 Melco Swiitches. TP LINK - Copper Melco Ethernet - Adot Fiber Via Fiber to - Melco S100/2 Switch connects via Melco SFP OVER COPPER - Melco S10 Switch connects via Melco SFP OVER COPPER - MELCO N1A Has Anyone tried a sim based router and found the SQ improvement? Tomorrow I’ll be connecting the TP link with a ifi power X

Well it’s more technical to be honest.

I have been following the brand… sadly they keep changing / upgrading their products way to often with a painful process to have it done… apart from £££ a product done well should be good for a few years at least… finally gave up and went with Melco which has outstanding SQ

Guys has anyone compared the Melco switches with other switches? I just got the new N1-S38 server from Melco and now thinking to upgrade the switch.
-
Afterdarks new cable works like a charm… all sorted
-
So AfterDark has had amazing support they have sent me a new cable. at the moment I am using their stock cable but that also messed the network which is very puzzling. It was working before. Now Euphony will not go online unless I remove the dc cable from the EtherREGEN & clock. The I repower the clock first and then the EtherREGEN and it starts working no issues and then it stopped again after 20 to 25 minutes. I’m puzzled.
-
Well thank you. I am already using a A Farad super 3 on the Clock.

Alex I went back to the old cable and it works with out any issue at all….!
