  1. will the Pink Faun OS also availabe for non Pink Faun customers?
  2. today I upgrated the RAM with two "Apacer ES.08G2V.GNH 1x8GB DDR4 2666Mhz RAM" (18Euro each) What a upgrade! It is unbelievable how much the sound has change (to the good) I suggest this upgrade absolutely!
  3. that`s also my experience - with every step you get your system cleaner you find it thinner (less body). But maybe what you find as a fuller sound is only more noise. Today I disable my DC-Blocker out of my chain and the sound gets fuller (more noise ??)
  4. are you shure? I had an intel nuc with a cheap LPS and a Holo Audio Red Streamer (all parts around 2000 euros) Now I have a DIY server with TAIKO DC to DC and an ulps (all parts about 10,000 euros and a lot of work. The sound is certainly better, in my opinion 20-30% (meager for 5 times the price - but that's HiFi. It would be nice if those who switched from a Gamer Borg (1 processor) to the Taiko Extreme board would share their experiences.
  5. ..yes ignore it ;-) From time to time it happends that Euphony is not able to buffer the song to the ram and stream the song normal...
  6. I don't think this is a black or white question. If your network is already optimized (audio file switch or similar), then the difference is not that big. I have two audio file switches in my network - the improvement from the fiber optic network card is rather small for me. My player (Euphony Stylus) buffers the files to the ram, so the network card is not that important.
  7. what about an app for android? I will never buy thinks for that I have to be a member of the Apple cosmos
  8. I used the original spring rivets to attach the new heatsink. I used the original heat sink as a drilling template. I drilled the four extinguishers for attachment with a flat countersink with guide pins and left about 2mm of material (a little more than the original heat sink) so that the spring rivets work as before.
  9. The DIY solution probably wasn't perfect
  10. here the image from my old solotion:
  11. ..yes it can - but my solution is the cooler one ;-) When you look through my old post, I had this solution and uninstalled it. It was also a DIY solution (not yours) but the same system With your solution the head is in the box and travelled not completely out auf of the box..
  12. Hi marcel, That's theory - from my experience (several weeks) the whole system becomes significantly hotter, than without the solarflare. Bending the tubes as a U is not easy and there is a risk of damaging the chip of the NIC I`m really happy with my new solotion - it looks not nice, but it works very good. The box is in my office, it would not be a solution for the living room ;-)
  13. .that was my old solution it was not as effective the heat was in the case and believe me the solarflare generates as much head as the processor. The complete system temperature raised about 5 to 8 grad. And the nic gets hotter (over 50°) so I did not use this nic for some time.
  14. My new cooling solution for the Solarflare Nic (DIY) After hours of listening, the temperature on the copper (chip) gets not hotter than 38°
