  1. Please check out Rajiv's excellent review of the APEX version of the Bartok: https://audiophilestyle.com/ca/reviews/review-dcs-bartok-apex-dac-with-headphone-amplifier-r1282/?tab=comments#comment-1283395 As the review demonstrates, the Bartok is an elegant all-in-one box that combines a streamer, player, DAC, and first class headphone amp. This is a chance to buy an excellent condition used Bartok for less than half of what it cost new, with the flexibility to add APEX and the dCS Lina word clock as funds permit.
  2. PLEASE NOTE: I have sold the Chord Choral stand in a separate transaction. I am offering the Chord DAVE for $6250.
  3. The SRC-DX USB to Dual-Coax Bridge by Audiowise takes a USB signal and converts it to S/PDIF 75 ohm BNC connections. It is capable of outputting 705 or 768kHz resolution when Dual BNC connections are used on the SRC-DX and on a DAC that can accept dual S/PDIF inputs. This includes many Chord DACs. I used it with my Chord DAVE DAC and, by bypassing DAVE’s USB input, it gave notably better sound quality. It can also be used simply to convert a USB output from your computer, network streamer, etc into a single S/PDIF capable of delivering 384hz PCM resolution. Used with upsampling software such as HQ Player or PGGB, you can take upsampled USB from your computer/streamer and convert it to high resolution S/PDIF for your DAC. More information can be found on the Audiowise website. The unit is in excellent condition. My asking price of $200 includes free shipping in the continental United States and no PayPal fees. The SRC-DX retails for $295. I can refer you to my 100% positive feedback on usaudiomart.com.
  4. I bought this pair of cables in late 2021 just before High Fidelity Cables shut down. Very few become available on the used market. This 3D version was the latest reference version of the HFC CT-2 RCA interconnects. HFC supplied BNC adapters with these cables and that’s primarily how I used them: between the SRC-DX USB to Dual Coax Bridge and the dual S/PDIF inputs on my Chord DAVE. This exact configuration has been used by many seeking to extract the highest sound quality out of DAVE (I am also selling my DAVE, my Shunyata Omega USB cable, and my SRC-DX). The RCA connectors have substantial magnets inside and so this is actually preferred to permanent BNC terminations. But I also used them as RCA interconnects and they sounded wonderful in either configuration. Please see the photos for pics of the terminations with and without the BNC adapters. The adapters make this cable extremely versatile. The cables are in excellent condition, are well-built, and have performed flawlessly since day one. I can refer you to my 100% positive feedback on usaudiomart.com. The original list price for these cables was $3050. My asking price of $1800 includes shipping in the continental United States. Please add 3% if using PayPal. They will be well-packed to insure safe delivery.
  5. Excellent condition Shunyata Omega USB 1.5m purchased new in 2021 from Shunyata dealer. One of the world's best USB cables. Does not come up for sale often. Price ($2250) includes shipping in the continental United States. For PayPal, add 3% to the purchase price. Original Shunyata zippered case and pouch included. I can refer you to my 100% positive feedback on usaudiomart.com.
  6. I am selling a Sean Jacobs ARC6 DC4 power supply that is ready to power a Chord DAVE (three rails). I am also selling a Sean Jacobs capacitor board ready to install in a Chord DAVE. The power supply is 120v for North American power systems. The power supply includes the Mundorf silver/gold wire upgrade. The DAVE/ARC6 combination is the Mt. Everest of DAVE sound quality. On the used market, you might find a handful of listings worldwide for an ARC6 made for DAVE in a given year. Sean Jacobs never discounts these and they usually take several months to build. Note that the price of a Sean Jacobs DC4 ARC6 has increased substantially this year. The base price is $9200. Add $2400 for the three ARC6 rails for the DAVE. Then add (at least) another $1000 for the Mundorf silver/gold wire upgrade. The capacitor board retails for $500. Total retail value of the power supply and capacitor board is thus (at least) $13,100. My asking price for both components is $7750. Installation of the power supply and capacitor board in a Chord DAVE is straightforward and there are written guides with photographs to help you. If I can do it, I guarantee almost anyone else can do it. I can also supply a few basic tools to make installation fast and easy. If you only want either the ARC6 power supply or the capacitor board (and not both), I will consider all offers. Note that the capacitor board will only work if you already have a DC4 or DC3 power supply for a Chord DAVE. Personally, I would not go without the capacitor board if you are buying the ARC6 power supply. It adds a certain lushness and beauty to the super-transparent ARC6/DAVE sound without softening transients or loosening time domain performance. My understanding is that a DC4 ARC6 can also be modified to power other components. If you are interested in this option, I suggest you contact me for further information. Before I acquired the ARC6, I owned a Sean Jacobs DC3 power supply and used it to power my DAVE. The DC3 took a great DAC to greater heights, but the move from the DC3 to the ARC6 DC4 was much more profound, specifically in the areas of 1) physicality, density, and dimensionality; 2) bass; 3) dynamics; 4) resolution; and 5) space. The ARC6 is absolutely the best upgrade you can make to DAVE. I can refer you to my 100% positive feedback on usaudiomart. Condition: I am conservatively rating the ARC6 and capacitor board as 8 due to age. Everything has worked flawlessly since day 1. The umbilical cord that you will attach to DAVE is about 25 inches long, so you will want to make sure the two units are in close proximity. Purchase History: The ARC6 was previously owned but basically just long enough to burn it in. If I had to guess, I would say it was built in the latter part of 2021; I bought it in the summer of 2022. I purchased the capacitor board new in December 2022. Shipping and Payment: I would consider shipping to Canada if the buyer takes full responsibility for shipping. Otherwise, shipping is restricted to the United States. Buyer to pay shipping/insurance. For PayPal payments, please factor in an additional 3% for fees unless going through Friends & Family. Dimensions/Weight of the gear itself: ARC6 is 17.75 wide x 12 deep x 6 high (44 lbs). The umbilical is 25 inches long. Reason for selling: I am purchasing a Taiko Olympus music server with built-in DAC. This is many multiples the price of the ARC6/DAVE combination that I own today. I am selling my DAVE separately as well as some high-end cables I used with DAVE. Questions: I'll do my best to answer any questions in a timely manner.
  7. I am selling a well-cared for black Chord DAVE. It has performed flawlessly since day one. I bought this from the original owner in 2021. Also included is Chord’s stand, in black with nickel feet, specifically made for DAVE (see photos). A new DAVE retails for $14,000 and a new stand retails for $2195. I am offering both for $6750. If you would like the DAVE only, I will sell it for $6250. If you are only interested in the stand, I will sell it for $500. I can refer you to my 100% positive feedback on usaudiomart.com. Condition: I am conservatively rating the DAVE and stand as 8 due to age. There are some minute scratches on one side where the top shell meets the bottom shell (barely visible in the photo). And some very light scratches around the electrical inlet in the back (also visible in the photo). You really have to look to find these but I am disclosing in the interest of full disclosure. Questions: I'll do my best to answer any questions in a timely manner.
  8. I am selling a Chord DAVE with Sean Jacobs ARC6 DC4 power supply and Sean Jacobs capacitor board already installed. I prefer to sell this as a package deal. If you want to make an offer on the power supply only, I will listen but it will need to be a serious offer. Both DAVE and ARC6 are black. Also included is the Chord stand, in black with nickel feet, specifically made for DAVE. Combined retail on everything is $29,295 ($14,000 for DAVE, $12,600 for ARC6, $500 for capacitor board, and $2195 for stand). I am selling the entire package for $13,750, less than the cost of a new DAVE. I have 100% positive feedback as a seller/buyer on other sites that I can point you to. Note that the price of a Sean Jacobs DC4 ARC6 has increased substantially this year. The base price is $9200. Add $2400 for the three ARC6 rails for the DAVE. Then add another $1000 for the Mundorf silver/gold wire upgrade. See https://www.custom-hifi-cables.co.uk/power-supplies/dc4-power-supply. The DAVE/ARC6 combination is the Mt. Everest of DAVE sound quality. On the used market, you might find two or three listings worldwide for an ARC6 made for DAVE in a given year. Sean Jacobs never discounts these and they usually take several months to build. Some of you may already own a DAVE and are looking to improve it. If so, you might consider what I did several years ago when I bought a Sean Jacobs DC3 power supply. I already owned a DAVE but the owner of the DC3 sold it to me as a package deal with his DAVE. I ended up selling my old DAVE. There were several advantages: 1) It's a turnkey solution -- I did not need to remove the power supply on the new DAVE since the DC3 was already installed and ready to play right out of the box; 2) I sold my old DAVE for a price that, when subtracted from what I spent for the DC3/DAVE package deal, came to an amount that made the new power supply much cheaper than any other option I could have found; and 3) I eliminated the problem of waiting for either a new Sean Jacobs build or waiting (and waiting) for the product to appear on the used market. The capacitor board is only available to DC4 owners and adds a certain lushness and beauty to the super-transparent ARC6/DAVE sound without softening transients or loosening time domain performance. Finally, I will include DAVE’s original power supply just in case you would ever need to re-install the original power supply (perhaps for resale?). Condition: I am conservatively rating both DAVE (with stand) and ARC6 as 8 due to age. I was unable to find any scratches or blemishes on either. Everything has worked flawlessly since day 1. The umbilical is hardwired into DAVE. You simply attach the umbilical to the ARC6, plug in the ARC6 (no on/off switch for greater fidelity), and you are up and running. The umbilical is about 25 inches long, so you will want to make sure the two units are in close proximity. Purchase History: The ARC6 was previously owned but basically just long enough to burn it in. If I had to guess, I would say it was built in the latter part of 2021; I bought it in the summer of 2022. I purchased the DAVE from a previous owner in 2021. If I had to guess, I would say it was built between 2017 and 2019. Shipping and Payment: I would consider shipping to Canada if the buyer takes full responsibility for shipping. Otherwise, shipping restricted to continental United States. Buyer to pay shipping/insurance. The DAVE and ARC6 will ship separately and will be double boxed for safe transport. For PayPal payments, please factor in an additional 3% for fees unless going through Friends & Family. No returns: This will be a final sale, with no returns accepted. Questions: I'll do my best to answer any questions in a timely manner. Dimensions/Weight of the gear itself: ARC6 is 17.75 wide x 12 deep x 6 high (44 lbs). DAVE is 13 wide x 6.5 deep x 3.25 high (11 lbs). The umbilical is 25 inches long.100
