The SRC-DX USB to Dual-Coax Bridge by Audiowise takes a USB signal and converts it to S/PDIF 75 ohm BNC connections. It is capable of outputting 705 or 768kHz resolution when Dual BNC connections are used on the SRC-DX and on a DAC that can accept dual S/PDIF inputs. This includes many Chord DACs. I used it with my Chord DAVE DAC and, by bypassing DAVE’s USB input, it gave notably better sound quality. It can also be used simply to convert a USB output from your computer, network streamer, etc into a single S/PDIF capable of delivering 384hz PCM resolution. Used with upsampling software such as HQ Player or PGGB, you can take upsampled USB from your computer/streamer and convert it to high resolution S/PDIF for your DAC. I bought this pair of cables in late 2021 just before High Fidelity Cables shut down. Very few become available on the used market. This 3D version was the latest reference version of the HFC CT-2 RCA interconnects. HFC supplied BNC adapters with these cables and that’s primarily how I used them: between the SRC-DX USB to Dual Coax Bridge and the dual S/PDIF inputs on my Chord DAVE. This exact configuration has been used by many seeking to extract the highest sound quality out of DAVE (I am also selling my DAVE, my Shunyata Omega USB cable, and my SRC-DX). The RCA connectors have substantial magnets inside and so this is actually preferred to permanent BNC terminations. But I also used them as RCA interconnects and they sounded wonderful in either configuration. Please see the photos for pics of the terminations with and without the BNC adapters. The adapters make this cable extremely versatile. The cables are in excellent condition, are well-built, and have performed flawlessly since day one. I am selling a Sean Jacobs ARC6 DC4 power supply that is ready to power a Chord DAVE (three rails). I am also selling a Sean Jacobs capacitor board ready to install in a Chord DAVE. The power supply is 120v for North American power systems. The power supply includes the Mundorf silver/gold wire upgrade. The DAVE/ARC6 combination is the Mt. Everest of DAVE sound quality. On the used market, you might find a handful of listings worldwide for an ARC6 made for DAVE in a given year. Sean Jacobs never discounts these and they usually take several months to build. Note that the price of a Sean Jacobs DC4 ARC6 has increased substantially this year. The base price is $9200. Add $2400 for the three ARC6 rails for the DAVE. Then add (at least) another $1000 for the Mundorf silver/gold wire upgrade. The capacitor board retails for $500. Total retail value of the power supply and capacitor board is thus (at least) $13,100. My asking price for both components is $7750. Installation of the power supply and capacitor board in a Chord DAVE is straightforward and there are written guides with photographs to help you. If I can do it, I guarantee almost anyone else can do it. I can also supply a few basic tools to make installation fast and easy. The DC3 took a great DAC to greater heights, but the move from the DC3 to the ARC6 DC4 was much more profound, specifically in the areas of 1) physicality, density, and dimensionality; 2) bass; 3) dynamics; 4) resolution; and 5) space. If so, you might consider what I did several years ago when I bought a Sean Jacobs DC3 power supply. I already owned a DAVE but the owner of the DC3 sold it to me as a package deal with his DAVE. I ended up selling my old DAVE. There were several advantages: 1) It's a turnkey solution -- I did not need to remove the power supply on the new DAVE since the DC3 was already installed and ready to play right out of the box; 2) I sold my old DAVE for a price that, when subtracted from what I spent for the DC3/DAVE package deal, came to an amount that made the new power supply much cheaper than any other option I could have found; and 3) I eliminated the problem of waiting for either a new Sean Jacobs build or waiting (and waiting) for the product to appear on the used market.
