Well, Chris, you believe what you will. I will admit that it is not scientific. The point is the market IS shrinking. That is a fact. People want convenience not cables everywhere, etc. The phrase KISS comes to mind. Enjoy - I am out.

I am not. I have talked to people who are not audiophiles, and they KNOW about the industry. the people I talk to just think it is all MACHISMO on the audiophile side. Just like people buying Ferraris vs a Buick or Ford. Ask my wife for example. She thinks all the BS about cables, expensive equipment, etc. is JUST THAT. I get that. I see it all the time. If these audio companies want to expand their audience, they need to stop catering to the fewer and fewer people out there who buy the equipment now. I will give you an example - go to ABT here in the Chicagoland area. They carry Audiophile equipment, and other things. Pople look and laugh at the prices there. Abt: Appliances and Electronics Store | Refrigerators, Appliances, TVs Keep the blinders on Chris.

The regular audiophile press routinely uses subjective language in their reviews and many only do subjective reviews, but that is OK and @GoldenOne uses similar language but it is not, OK? HUBRIS AT IT'S FINEST.

The reason why audio products are pretty irrelevant to the majority of the public is the attitudes shown by audiophiles and companies. It turns off the public and makes the industry LESS INCLUSIVE than more.

But MQA is not high res, that is the issue. It is false advertising.

The band. the 2nd picture shows a friend of Lachy's living in Nashville, playing the harmonica standing on his head.

I saw the Lachy Doley trio at the City Winery in Nashville, TN. Nice venue, good sound, amazing energetic performance. Very tight band, also. One could say that he is one of the best Hammond B3 out there currently. One of his heroes is Steve Winwood.

Chris - I think so, especially in this thread. Your opinion that they did not but to me, yes they did. What do I know I am not an audiophile as many people, in this hobby, have told me.

Sometimes one cannot pick which fights they are in. I will give an example from my own past. I was working for a company as the Analytical lab manager and expert. The CEO came in to me and demanded that I certify an analysis that showed super-positive results of the process they were working on. I did not do the analysis nor did any of the 6 people that worked under me (we averaged 3500 samples a month, BTW I reviewed all the data my lab put out). He told me either certify it or I would be fired. I said the only thing I have is my reputation as a scientist and that I cannot in good conscious do that. I was fired. 6 months later the company was found to try and do a 'pump and dump scheme' with their process. I moved on. they ended the company. I think many people just do not care what happens to the 'little guy' as long as they get what they want. It is a very selfish and self-serving attitude used by audiophiles across the board. I have no dog hunting in this party. I am just looking at it as an objective viewer. I did not read, nor do I know that product that caused all the consternation. I don't have that amount of cash laying around either. The treatment of anyone like this gives me pause, period. Now I know I would not buy DCS anything. If one cannot give honest reviews, then why have reviews at all. The audiophile press might as well call ALL THEIR REVIEWS PROPAGANDA. That is all they are. @GoldenOne is standing behind what he said. I respect that. But people piling on because they didn't like what he said, is another thing. That shows a lack of respect for others and also demonstrates very thin skins of audiophiles.

GOOD Editors were/are independent, even if it hits where the money comes from. I think of the classic pieces about Watergate, the Pentagon Papers, etc. Were reporters and efitors went out and were backed by the editors. On the audio press side, looking at it from the outside, they DO NOT DO THAT. My way of thinking is they do not want to kill the fatted calf. I think it is more propaganda than reviews. This is where the indendent reviews come in for good or bad. Without any independents, there would be no decent reviews of audio equipment, period. Although, kudos to Stereophile for measurements, that is all I look at. If I want flowery, descriptive prose, I would read a romance novel.

I have OneDrive un-installed as well as other non-essential apps. Try that with Apple's OS or Android. You can't. One thing to say is, all OS's have flaws, it is the nature of the beast. There were other affects of the CrowdStrike bug, but MS was the biggest. I mean the Airlines still use antiquated software (non-MS) and they were hit bad also.

The M-22 is considered a push-pull class A design. Very classic. -
No Customizable Schitt: Understandable But Upsetting

My Pioneer M-22 class A is 30 WPC and pulls 260 watts. It can heat my unheated basement to 80 F in winter. -
I have tried Volumio for 3 years and different versions. I have NEVER been able to even see more than 1/2 of my digital library with it. Even with help from the forums and the actual coders. I have 6.5 TB of music, also. To me it is junk because of that. Heck, Daphile does better. JRiver has no issues with it.
