  1. There are a lot of weird things in this hobby, the only thing which I have learned is to try to look for the alternatives if any in the Non-audio/Industrial/Research space..it saves money and offers better, measured and reliable performance...especially to things related to power. Regards, Audio_phool
  2. I would suggest you to wait until you get the Delta 3. After that you can plan to switch your entire system off the grid to the battery just like the @UberK did by calculating how much power would you need for your typical daily session without battery going into it's loud mode. I am also contemplating on getting the EcoFlow Delta 2 for my system, which is more than sufficient as my entire system just consumes 50 W per hour, so Delta 2 can give me roughly 20 hrs of listening time..if I consider 10% at bottom and 10% at top as reserve limits then even with total 80% battery capacity I can easily run the system for 16 Hrs a day (the demo person asked my friend to use the battery between 10% to 90% limit of the Delta 2 for max life, so I don't know the logic behind this) Regards, Audio_phool
  3. Wait till you get your EcoFlow Delta 3, it's much quieter. Also the key to have almost noiseless battery is to make sure you are attaching the load which is less than the region where it's loud/fast fan kicks in...for EcoFlow Delta 2 that means below 600W load. If you can manage that there is nothing like it.
  4. its good to help others. Sometimes you have ton make costly mistakes to learn. Since you have ordered EcoFlow Delta 3...it will give you cleanest power possible. I had suggested one my friend to buy EcoFlow Delt 2 for his system & he was never so happy to have such a clean power. Besides if you have an OCD then you can attach your SR Power Cell 8 to the output of EcoFlow to futher clean up the power. After all most of the Inverters in these battery power supply are SMPS which if not carefully designed or have any EMI filtering stage can prove to be noisy. BTW I have posted a very long review/article on these power conditioners here, that might be interesting and educative post for you. Regards, Audio_phool
  5. If you have static then then it's discharge happens only once & it requires some place where the buildup happens and its discharge is one time event. Besides, Static is not transmitted through power-line, it's the EMI which gets transmitted through power-line.
  6. @Alexanderking static is when you have charge build-up. It's static electricity. Same thing you can get on the vinyl or in winter when sometimes you touch any metal object you get that shock sensation due to charge transfer. EMI is completely different thing. It's the continuous noise which gets into the power lines which can come due to many things such as your LED lamps, refrigerators, Washing Machines, SMPS etc. Regards, Audio_phool
  7. If it was fixed by Synergistic Research power conditioner then it wasn't static, it was EMI. Regards, Audio_phool
  8. Do you have any idea how much the horus board would cost, if i decide to change it (in case nothing works and i am left with no other option but to change the network board? Regards, Audio_phool
  9. @Ozeki thanks, I will search for it online, else I will ask ChatGPT. Regards, Audio_phool
  10. Looks like the shield is floating. Sometimes some of these issues are just beyond understanding & makes you frustrated a lot. Regards, Audio_phool
  11. How are you grounding the shielding of the cable or are you keeping it floating at both ends? Regards, Audio_phool
  12. @The Computer Audiophile One more question regarding your setup involving Linux, Ravenna and Anubis. Which category of ethernet cable do you use? Do you use Cat 6A/7/8 cables or Cat 6/5E cables? I am using cat 8 cable to connect the computer to NADAC. Merging has not mentioned anything about Cat 6A/7/8 so i am wondering whether my issue is because of Cat 8 cable. Regards, Audio_phool
  13. Ohh, that's surprising! On windows 10 everything worked for me without touching a single setting. But I had to turn off Wake On Lan and Energy Saving options of Ethernet adapter in Audio Linux to make everything work. Below is Merging's support article for Ethernet adapter settings which I referred and tried to replicate settings whereever possible. https://merging.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBLICDOC/pages/4817173/RAVENNA+ASIO+recommended+Network+Adapter Regards, Audio_phool
  14. @The Computer Audiophile can share any network adapter or power related settings which you would have made to make everything work smoothly in Linux? Regards, Audio_phool
  15. Ahh, so you were talking about Aneman...yeah, in linux environment I will need another PC on Windows or MacOs & a switch. Surprisingly their last stable published firmware also gives issues & i am using one of their beta version of firmware which Merging support gave me. As per the Merging support this beta version resolves some of the issues of the last stable release. I do remember you talking to Master Fidelity about their new NADAC D dac, which also has the same networking capabilities as that of old NADAC. If you can check with them about releasing support for linux for their new NADAC D, then even older NADAC users can benefit from this support I guess. I have checked the network board and NADAC (old) uses the board for Horus, so I am guessing that they are keeping the network board same/similar across the products for better support and lesser work/confusion on their side. Regards, Audio_phool
  16. Yeah, even I was wondering when did Merging release the version of Aneman for Linux 😅. Can you explain if you know why connecting Linux (or computer having Linux) directly to NADAC? Because i think this is the simplest and most straight forward way of connecting NADAC to any server/computer? Unfortunately Merging does not officially provide support for linux in case of NADAC, else I would have taken their help on this matter. Incidentally, when I was using only windows 10 (which was for more than 1 year) I never faced such issue. Only after I went for the dual boot involving Audio linux, I have started to face the issue & some times on Windows as well. Since sonic difference and sonic signature which Audio linux offers to me is what i love, I want to resolve this issue and use only the Audio linux for all playback. My only guess is that some component on the network board of the dac might have developed some issue due to which this is happening or this is some firmware related issue which makes this issue happen. Regrads, Audio_phool
  17. @The Computer Audiophile I have not installed Aneman on Audio Linux. I was not sure if it is compatible with Linux (in this case Arch linux). How easy it is to configure Aneman correctly in Linux? Also if you could share the Network or any other settings that makes your playback smooth, that would be helpful. I have disabled the "Wake on Lan" for my network adapter which is connected directly to NADAC. Regards, Audiio_phool
  18. Hello All, I have Merging NADAC (2 Ch.) as dac which is connected directly to my desktop through Lan cable (Supra Cables) which is running Roon + HQPlayer (V4). I had installed Audio Linux as dual boot option on another SSD along with my Windows 10. While drivers and audio works/playback works generally fine (in Audio Linux), some times randomly the audio stops even though the playback continues on Roon. When I check the source on the DAC it shows the server (desktop connected) and I can even check the NADAC setting through it's web interface. To get the sound back, I either have to restart the dac or I have to switch to some other audio input (either of Co-axial/Optical/AES) and then switch back to the server. After doing this I am able to get the sound back which is quite strange. I am not able to pin down on the issue as I have tried the recommended Ethernet adapter settings and still the issue shows up randomly. One solution is to go back to Windows, but I personally like the sound more with Audio Linux than with Windows. Even on windows sometimes I get this issue. Any help in identifying the cause of this issue is welcome, especially those who have experience with Ravenna drivers or Merging products especially in Linux environment. Regards, Audio_phool
  19. Thanks, the Gotham 85055 are 3x5.5mm at 10awg with insane amount of shielding so it should be a good fit Yes, Gotham cables are also very good. I am using Gotham 11301 GAC-4/1 Ultra Pro as DC cable for connecting LPS to DAC. Regards, Audio_phool
  20. @dericchan1 Yes, I have upgraded the stock C19 power cord that came with PDU. I am not fan of audiophile brand power cords, so I had power cord made using this cable from Yarbo (not sure if it's original as I purchased it from TaoBao, but it's damn good) which is 5.53 mm2 in cross section and 16.5 mm thick. https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/cable-metre-cables-secteur/yarbo-sp-1100pw-triple-shielded-power-cable-occ-553mm-o165mm-p-6456.html I used this silver plated copper C19 plug from Viborg & same silver plated copper US plug at the other end. https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/fiches-secteur-connecteurs-iec/viborg-vf523s-connector-iec-c19-silver-plated-pure-copper-o19mm-p-15741.html In my experience upgrading to this power cable has made bass stronger than stock cable. Regards Audio_phool
  21. One update...Since I had given Vladimir feedback regarding changing IEC C14 outlets, he took the feedback positively & made the changes. Now the PDU is available with 6 US outlets as well. For me the bigger surprise came when he said that he is sending me the newer version with US outlets for free to replace my existing PDU with IEC outlets. Now that's some really good service. Here is the photo of the new version of PDU. Regards, Audio_phool
  22. Thanks for suggesting this. Looks like it is an isolation transformer. Could be really good, but I cant tell without looking at the specs which like all other audiophile brands, are missing. After having two encounters with power products, now I have stopped believing in audiophile power related products unless they provide complete set of measurements and specs. I don't have any need for any other power conditioner or any other power related product after OnFilter. Hence instead of contacting Geir, I would like to know the specification & measurements of his products. That is sufficient for me. Regards, Audio_phool
  23. So you are having 48KHz streamed from a different source/streamer to PC/NUC having the HQP which servers as input & then you are outputting DSD 256, both of which is via same network card/ethernet cable right? Because if both are on same machine like my case then HQP solves the issue. Regards, Audio_phool
  24. @dericchan1 I have gave Vladimir feedback about changing the output plugs from IEC C14 to either US NEMA and/or Schuko & he has listed to my feedback and has agreed to provide is PDU which will have 6 (still not confirm on the number) US NEMA outlets so that audiophiles can use their existing power cables without having to use any adapter. BTW how was your experience about conneting your equipment, especially sources and pre/phono to the OnFilter. Would love to hear it. Regards, Audio_phool
  25. No need for NAA if you are using HQplayer, you can simply upsample to DSD256 with having the option of 48KHz DSD unchecked & make sure to choose a filter which has Ratio as "Any" for inter sample rate family conversion to DSD256..I am playing this way on my Merging NADAC with everything up-sampled to DSD256 for last 1.5 years. I am using Ravenna on both Windows (MAD) & Audio Linux (Ravenna Drivers). Below is the example where I am upsampling 48KHz family rate to DSD256 without having any NAA in the chain. My chain is very simple, Server (Roon + HQPlayer) connected directly to NADAC via Cat8 Cable. Insert Regards, Audio_phool
