  1. Many thanks. I was just concerned about burning out the electronics of the unit too early.
  2. Thanks for your replies. Do you have the analogue version (C20) or didgital (C214)? If you have the C20 do leave it on 24/7 or do your switch it off. I know the C214 has an app and can be turned off and on easily. I’d rather have the C20 (analogue) but have a bad back so bending over to hit a switch isn’t on my to do list…
  3. I enjoy natural organic sound so I don’t use digital room correction at this time. I do use trees for diffusion and acoustic art work for absorption and diffusion, but not digital room correction. That said, I think - if they ever finish it - I’m moving into a new home next year. At that time I may purchase something to take care of bass nodes. But that will be active bass absorbers vs using any type of full on digital room correction.
  4. Has anyone here tried one of these? They are more expensive than most passive designs, but they also take up considerably less space. https://www.psiaudio.swiss/avaa-technology/ What are your thoughts?
  5. My dealer is accepting one + Taiko Switch and UBS extreme card in on trade in the next few weeks - probably a month. Contact Tony @ Ellington HiFi - https://www.ellingtonhifi.com
  6. We enjoyed his music. https://apnews.com/article/obituary-jimmy-buffett-4295f355b39237f40663d485c4c6d557
  7. Shunyata PCs begin at app $900 to well over 10k. Not near as expensive as S.I.N. Audio - a 40k or so package. When pricing out Shunyata be sure you include a power cord - with most models they cost extra. For instance, our Everest lists for 9k but the Omega XC power cord is 7k more. So, a total of 16k. By comparison you can purchase a Venom V16 for $2500 and a Venom v10 XC PC for $550. Total of $3050. https://shunyata.com/power-distributors/
  8. A second vote for Shunyata Power Conditioners. We enjoy our Everest. This said, they have PCs in a lot of price ranges from the Venom PS10 on up ….
  9. The sound of N30SA with the clock is more romantic sounding, vs the N30SA w/o clock. Without the clock the sound stage is better - IMO much better. So it’s all a matter of taste… The Aurender Clock connects to the power supply of the N30SA. I don’t think Hans is a fan of external clocks, he’d rather have the clock right next to chip… I agree on the Vitus synergy. It makes a huge difference. Hans voices his DACs to the human voice. He makes the DAC sound like his Master Piece Phono Stage. He has his process perfected as best I think it can be done. We went thru many DACs, EMM DA2 V2, MSB Select II, etc. I tried the Vitus DAC last. And it sounded best.
  10. Yes, the Aurender does not support Roon yet, but it’s coming. This said Aurender engineers state that their app sounds better than Roon. Personally I think it’s a matter of individual taste. But I do enjoy the sound of the Aurender a lot. The Grimm was tested using Roon and so was the Taiko. However, the Taiko was a friend’s and wasn’t tweaked - no XDMS, etc. This said it still outdid the N30SA. When I say “outdid” though I’m not speaking about huge differences - maybe only 8% or so. The nice thing about the Taiko is that they keep stretching the envelope. Can’t wait until they release their new battery supply for the Extreme. For now we've only ordered the Taiko + Switch.
  11. Yes, once you hear one you can’t unhear it. Then come the $$$
  12. Thanks for your kind words. As I moved from device to device there was better SQ, the bass improved, and the mids went from acceptable to outstanding. The sound stage also changed; with the Taiko especially there was more air between the instruments and the vocals became more real. Hans tunes his Vitus Master Piece DACs using the human voice. The details I heard in our Taiko demo were off the chart. Sounds I’d never heard before on familiar tracks came to life. Old tracks became new again … All the devices were excellent, just some more so than others…
