Better PoE (Power over Ethernet)?
Jivatma replied to The Computer Audiophile's topic in General Forum
Never seen one either. Not too many audiophile quality PoE devices out there yet. -
I am all for choice as well but this seems very dishonest and meant to cater to people who wouldn't know any better just like MP3 did and still does to this day. With Lossless becoming easier and easier to stream I really wonder what the goal is here for Lenbrook, other than to dumb down the whole thing. We are this close to everyone streaming lossless..

Amazing Use Of Technology For Concert - Sphere
Jivatma replied to The Computer Audiophile's topic in General Forum
Man, if only the Dead were still touring.. Amazing stuff! -
My only question is how did he ship the NAS to you? I would have been scared to death something happened to the hard drives during shipment. It seemed like you figured out pretty quickly the issue was probably going to be related to the NAS itself and not the hard drives, so why risk having anything happen to them? Not that I would ever doubt your technical abilities, just my own curiosity.

That Better Man video gave me chills! Nothing like a live performance! -
The Nommo Pro's have a built in DAC. They do not send BT signal but can play from a BT source. They are a decent all in one setup. You would need to purchase a separate headphone dac/amp and to my knowledge there are no such items out on the market due to BT not "yet" supporting lossless audio. There are a lot of nice headphones out there that support BT, the Sony ones are pretty good. But none of them support lossless audio to my knowledge.

Question and Warning about certain medications.
Jivatma replied to John Dyson's topic in General Forum
Wow I take the exact same two meds and my hearing was just checked as its been "wacky" lately and I had hearing loss in the same exact range. Very interesting! For me however it seems to be the worse in the morning before I take my meds and by evening everything "sounds" normal. I plan on getting off of both by diet and exercise. This is some further motivation! -

Article: Easily My Album Of The Year

Blows me away how sidetracked this conversation got. I look at it as a great recommendation. Either you like it or you don’t. Personally I find it the first album I can listen to from beginning to end and love every second that’s come around in a while. Thanks for the recommendation! -
I am pretty sure GDPR only speaks to PII. By scrubbing his name and email address you are complying. You can keep everything else. Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer

I am suddenly addicted to live Grateful Dead music.
Jivatma replied to KDinsmore's topic in Music in General
Nothing like a live Dead album. It has a way of pulling you into the music and not letting you go. -
Article: The Press Loves To Hate TIDAL
Jivatma replied to The Computer Audiophile's topic in Article Comments
All I know is I have been an avid Spotify user but after reading about Tidal and then seeing the commercial I decided to give it a try. I am really happy with it! I think the interface is very nice. Better than Spotify's IMO and for sure the difference in audio quality is immediately apparent. I think its pretty cool that JayZ and Daft Punk are pushing lossless audio. I wish all artists would. This is going to make the next generation pause and wonder why JayZ wants his music lossless. It may just be the catalyst that everyone in this forum have always talked about. I find it very interesting the negative reaction everyone here is having. I am not sure about drop outs and crackling, I stream from my phone and PC and have yet to have any sort of drop out. What I would recommend is give it a try.. you are out nothing if you don't like it. You may just find out you really like it. Just my two cents, I love this forum and appreciate everyone's opinions on it!
