Thank you Samuel. My DAP is the cowon d2, my amp is ifi scan and the cans as you know are the DT 1990. This is my set and i am quite pleased with it to ve honesto. The thing with this hobby is that you just want more and more. Probably you are right , there is just no need to have better cables. Think i will keep the original coiled cable. 👍

Hi! Any suggestions for a replacement cable for my Beyers 1990 PRO? The idea here is to clearly upgrade the sound quality. Budget is up to 75usd Thanks

well, just got the iFI Xcan, and I looked to their little iEMATCH connecters....Anyone have an opinio about it? thanks

Hi, I have just purchased the iFi Xcan amp and I just would like to know your thoughts in one thing please. Can I connect my source (a DAP, the Cowon Plenue D2) which has 2.5 balanced input to the Xcan in one side and my headphones (The Beyers DT 1990 PRO Single ended, non balanced) with a .3.5mm in the other one? I mean, although the headphones are connected correctly by a 3.5mm connection into the Xcan, can they be somehow “jeopardized” by the 2.5 balanced connection between the DAP and the Xcan? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I have the cowon plenue D2 and would like to connect it to my chord mojo DAC. My question is: can I use the micro usb input in the cowon (that is made to charge it) and use it to connect the mojo input (micro usb as well)? Or do I have to use the 3.5mm Jack from the cowon and connect it to the mojo using the coax input? Many thanks for your help

Thank you! I will go with the xcan. I am happy with thee Cowon. I just need power for the cans...and the bluetooh connection will be awsome for watching movies. I will only be needing the 3.5mm connection. Thank you for your feedbac

Thank you so much for your help. So,, what you ar saying is there is no need to pay the extra 100usd for the xdsd once I already have the DAP from the player - The Cowon right? In fact I heard the DAC form that DAP is actually really good. What's your feedback with the xdsd? did it really "upgrade" your music experience hearing it hooked with your sony DAP?
-
Hi, Sorry, but I believe they have...both. On the Xcan the DAP is only for the bluetooth connection. When connected by 3.5 jack is analogue. The Xdsd is the main caractheristic I believe...

Hi all, I have a DAP (the Cowon Plenue D2) which obviously has an integrated DAC inside. Now, due to the high impedance of my headphones (the Beyers DT 1990 Pro) I need an amp to run them properly. I am currently looking to a solution from iFi – either the xcan (just amp) or the Xdsd (both amp and DAC). So my question is: What happens If I buy the Xdsd? Will both DACS (the cowon's and the xdsd) make a difference? Or will somehow interfere/damage something? Thank you for your help

Hi, Thank you for your opinion. I have been abroad for several weeks and only had time to reply today. I had the opportunity to listen for long periods between my work travels and I am almost positive that an amp is needed. I can even say the volume I get when connected from my Samsung Note 9 seems more louder in some files than on the COwon. Obiously the quality from the Cowon is much much more superior. 250Ohms are very high impedance and a 300usd DAP can not produce miracles IMO...so I think the problem is really the need of good amp. My question to you: Once the my COWON player has already dual DACs, do you think I should only be looking for an amp that doesn't have DACs also. I mean will the fact of both equipments have DACs interefere or even damage the dirivers from the headphones??? Thank you for your help!

Hi guys, Desperately needing your help here…. I have a COWON Plenue D2 as my DAP and my cans are the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro. Once these headphones have an high impedance, I find myself wishing to have more power in sound (sound levels are acceptable but not necessarily high). I am now in the market for a nice amplifier and I need your suggestions/help. I might prefer something portable as I walk a lot doing indoor stuff while listening to music. Thanks in advance guys…

Hi! I listen to music with a pair of cans from Beyerdynamic (DT Pro 1990) and a DAP from Cowon - the Plenue D2. It is an approximately 1000 EUR/USD combo. However, perhaps due to the high impedance from the headphones (250 ohms ), the sound does not reach the levels I want nor the “transparency” for some types of music are not as clear as others.… So, my question, do you guys think I could somehow “connect” my Cowon DAP with an amp so I could upgrade sound quality? My DAP only has the 3.5 and 2.5mm (baslanced) outputs as well the main entrance for charging (that ends with USB type) Your thougths / ideas would be very much appreciated ;)
