  1. Sure that's not condescending at all.
  2. I couldn't take it any longer i had to see what all the fuss is about. So i went out and got myself a cheap Mqa dac capable of unfolding Mqa files. More specifically a Pioject S2. So i get it all hooked up last night . Not knowing what to expect i turn on Tidal, get all the settings right and turn it on to find out that it sounds really good. Dammit, i mean really good. I'm feeling guilty. Ive been told by people a a lot smarter than me that it's all bullshit. I am going to do some more listening this weekend. I have it hooked in a way where i can go back and forth between my Lks 004 and the Project S2. I am going to hate this thing if it kills me lol
  3. Don't I feel stupid lol Thanks for the help guys!
  4. I see we all had a good time with this lol
  5. I need 12s cable to run from my lks004 to my Gustard u16 digital interface. If someone could throw a link up i would be most appreciative.
  6. If I purchase a micr rendu do I still use the Gustard u16 interface I purchased along with the lks004 DAC?
  7. I need a music streamer (think you could also say network player)? I got the lks004 the other day because of all the rave reviews. Could not be happier, man that thing is nice!! Great advise guys!! Anyway i bought the Gustard U16 as the interface and to give my options on hooking everything up. So i need a digital transport(think i'm saying that right) But i don't want anything with a dac . So i guess what i'm asking for her is a Network player with no dac. I really don't store music. I mainly play from Tidal. So any advise? Please around 500 would be the budget.
  8. Very good I've never heard it explained that way!!!!
  9. Can you please explain what the Digital interface does in conjunction with the lks004? In layman's terms please. Thank you !!!!
  10. I replaced the inexpensive cable (coaxial cable)between the Dac and the cd player. I found a MIT shotgun cable for a fraction of it's original price on eBay. Now I'm not really a big cable guy but this really made the pioneer pd-65 come alive. It is an excellent cable that you slide on and tighten. The whole soundstage came alive. I would have never gotten this cable if I had not got it at such a great price. When I first started using the pioneer as a transport it wouldn't even play. After 10 hours or so of use it started working but didn't sound as good as playing tidal on my laptop through the Dac. Now it sound great! I couldn't be happier with this Dac!!
  11. I got the dac Friday! The cd player didn't work right the first day or so but after it was good and warmed up it seems to be working fine. Surprisingly tidal (in master)sounds better than using the pioneer pd-65 as a transport running through the dac. Does anyone know what battery goes in the remote? It didn't come with one and I don't see it in manual? It's not even broke in and it sounds great. The absence of sound when it's supposed to be silent and dynamic range are the first things that are apparent. The low end is incredible. Thanks for your help guys!!
  12. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a power supply for the lks 2004 dac? Without spending 3 or 4 hundred dollars as I already stretched to buy the dac itself. Thanks
  13. Should I be investing in a lineal power supply? Care to recommend one? Thanks
  14. Thank you very much I will take you up on that offer once it arrives Merry Christmas!
