Thanks, When I look at the Matrix setting for the Spring 2 DAC correction selection there is no choice for output rate. Does HQP OS automatically download the correct file for the output rate?
  2. New version of the app now on the Apple store. Bug fixes.

Jussi, I have been experimenting with DAC correction with my Holo Spring 2. I hadn't tried it before because my aging i5 8400 machine running HQP OS could not do it at DSD 256. I decided to try DSD128 with correction and that works fine. I find I like DSD 128 with correction better than DSD 256 without on the Spring 2. My question is: Is the correction agnostic to the output rate? When you measure for the correction what output rate did you use for the Spring 2? Next year when the new Intel chips are out, I will probably replace my aging HQP machine but maybe not if I don't need to. Thanks, Bob
  4. Marcin, The app now works with HQPlayer. Jussi found a bug in the UPNP stack and has issued a fixed version which I have tested. Thanks Bob
  5. Just reloaded and it is now working perfectly with JPlay iOS app. Thank you! Bob
  6. Will you be fixing HQP OS as well? I assume that the same applies there. I thought the problem was with JPlay because Audirvana works fine and that is UPNP. Thanks
  7. Call me old fashioned (considering my age it’s OK) but I like the in depth style with comparisons, measurements, features explanations and subjective opinions. That style is educational and interesting. I may never buy a certain piece but if I needed something like it, I would gravitate to those that have been reviewed thoroughly. Absent a lot of hard data, a review can quickly be summed up as “ I liked it “ or not. Of course it takes time and resources to do it that way and readers who appreciate it and will pay to support it. I guess what I am describing is the old paid magazine model. I did say I was old.
  8. Jussi, I can’t get JPlay iOS app to work with HQP OS anymore. The icon is there but when I try to play from Tidal or Qobuz the volume slider goes to minimum and is greyed out and I get the “error sending action …. “ message. It worked fine for a long time but a few weeks ago it just stopped working. Other posters have been saying the same thing. I have let Marcin know and sent him logs. Could the issue be on the HQP side? Hope you can help. Thanks, Bob
  9. Marcin, Just checked with the new build and it did not correct the problem that I and others are having. I still get the "error sending action....." message when I try to play to HQPlayer Embedded and the volume is grayed out at minimum as before. When I select to play to my iphone the volume on the HQPlayer icon comes alive and is adjustable but when I switch back to HQP and attempt to play it goes grey and minimum and I get the message. So it must be something else. There was a discussion on the HQP thread very recently where the poster had the same issue. He was still able to send to Minimserver for local files but could not send Tidal directly to HQP. Thanks for investigating. Bob
  10. Marcin, I hope that this fix will also take care of the problem some of us are having playing Tidal and Qobuz to HQPlayer Embedded via UPNP. I sent you logs a while back and I still have the problem now. I just read another post where the person lost his ability to play streaming files. The app sees HQP as a destination but when I click play I get the “ error sending …” message and the volume slider is grayed out at minimum volume. I don’t have local files so at the moment the app is unusable for me. Hope you can fix this. Thanks, Bob
  11. If you can find one of the Duet controllers with the screen and wheel, it will pair with the SBT perfectly. It is a great way to control the SBT remotely. I used mine for years in my LMS days.
  12. I can’t believe that the SBT is still working! Mine quit years ago. Should be in a museum somewhere. Have fun.

Jussi, I was wondering if the distance setting in Speakers is useful for 2 channel stereo. In my bedroom system my listening chair is off center so the left speaker is 30 cm further away. I am using the volume setting to lower the right speaker to get proper imaging. I always thought that distance adjustment was for surround sound systems. Will it do anything useful here? Thanks
