  1. Speaking of the USB Card XE Evo, I have spent several days with it and it is a very nice improvement for me. My USB card journey extends back to a startech USB card, utilizing the same chipset as the USB XE cards. A kind member of the forum let me borrow their USB XE and from that moment onward I knew I needed to have one of my own. Fast forward, I ended up with a system that could re-clock USB cards so I swapped to the SOTM TX-USBX10G card, which worked best in my system at the time. Now, I have the USB Card Evo (with the Master OCXO) and I find this card to be an across the board improvement in my system. Pleasantly surprised with improved spatial resolution and overall refinement. More to come.
  2. Hi all, hope you’re well! I am going to be selling my JCAT USB XE card, for use with the JCAT Master OCXO. Bring your own clock, and this card will reward you with hours of enjoyable sound quality. Note: I am not including the Master OCXO with this item. You will need to source your own. I loved the way this card sounded with the JCAT Master OCXO. I also had the chance to listen with the SOTM Sclk-Ex for a very long time (this was enhanced with an input from the Mutec Ref10). The card worked as long as it was fed a good 20mhz signal. Happy listening. $550.00 In order for this card to work you must connect and provide power to a 20mhz 3.3v p2p clock. For best results, reach out to Marcin of jcat audio to purchase one, or configure an available SOtM sclk-ex output for 20mhz and you’re all set. Cheers, -Rob
  3. There is a switch under the chassis to select input voltage configuration. Let me triple check and report back. Thanks, -Rob
  4. Hi All, For sale we have a Keces P3. It was used for two years to power my Arris SB8200 modem and Edgerouter X-SFP, two relatively light loads. It has worked flawlessly and never once experienced trouble throughout it's lifetime with me. I have not used this power supply in over a year and do not foresee a use case for it long term. I figure it will be better off with someone who has a need for clean power on a budget. It comes with a SR Orange fuse (rated too high, at 10A, so it will not provide protection but you get the SQ benefits). I am not transferring the cost of this fuse to you as a buyer. Cheers! Please reach out if you have any question. Comes with original box. Full transparency : There is one scratch pictured towards the rear of the chassis. Yours for $300 (Buyer to cover shipping fees)
  5. I really want an Urd! Thanks for the write-up. Hope to be able to afford one soon.
  6. Just seeing this now. Very interesting that the clocks can be ordered in specific frequencies 😎. I too have tried various power solutions and yes, the power to the Master OCXO does have an impact on SQ. Thanks for the follow up. Saving up for the new card 😎.
  7. Very clean build build 😎. Vs solid core Angelique I’ve noticed an improvement in high frequency extension, speed, and overall less veiled of a presentation. It is also seemingly more “lively”. Certainly in the direction I would like to take my system.
  8. Hello all, I am selling a set of Iego 8095 plugs in excellent physical condition. They are already broken in, but will likely require some warm-up post installation in their new home. Selling as a set. $225 + shipping Here is your chance to own a pair of pure silver AC plugs. Here is a good write up: https://www.audioasylum.com/audio/cables/messages/18/183682.html
  9. Well said! I will conduct a before and after test to compare the temps with my bending work and the professionally bent pipes. Curious how much we can widen the existing gap between the diy chassis and H5.
  10. This is useful - I’d like some professionally bent pipes. Hopefully ATS will get back to us soon @AngeloVRA. If not, we have options now 😎. Just happy to be up and running now with the new chassis. I look forward to others getting their builds together. It is a wonderful time to be a diyer.
  11. Im not sure who exposer is, but I’m really bad at bending pipes. I strongly suggest everyone who is on the diy server chassis list to avoid this tool: Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! $15.89 | 4mm 6mm 8mm 10mm 3/16 "1/4 ″ 5/16 ″ 3/8 ″ Pipe Bending Tool Heavy Duty Tube Bender Tubing Bender Pliers https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMhy8YU That being said, these poorly bent pipes in this chassis are substantially better that what is achievable in the HDPlex chassis. A testament to the design of the cooling block and heatsink. For the record - no claims were made of these pipes being “professionally bent”. They’re a lot harder to work with than 6mm pipes.
  12. There is a substantial improvement in cooling performance. I was able to compare both setups powered on side by side. In the exact same room the HDplex gets up to 50c sitting in the BIOS, while the new system is only peaking at 38c (much better than I earlier reported) likely due to the thermal paste settling in. i do not monitor temps during playback. Let me do so. Either way, huge improvement!
