Excellent review Chris! Without a doubt, the new Signature Rendu SE Deluxe is the best Rendu Sonore has ever released.

Thanks for your in-depth review. My impressions of the Ayre gear are similar to yours. I have Ayre MX-R Twenty amps, KX-R Twenty preamp, and a QX-5 Twenty DAC with USB2 and Network2 boards. Wonderfully musical products!

Here are my sonic impressions of the Signature Rendu SE Deluxe over the last 2 weeks plus. I still have my Signature Rendu SE Optical for comparisons. The soundstage of the Deluxe is wider and deeper than the previous model. I feel the Deluxe has superior transparency allowing one to hear details in well known recordings that were previously obscured by the earlier Optical model. The bass is tighter and better defined on the Deluxe. The older Optical seems to compress the sound resulting in a slight hardness to the sound. The Deluxe is more dynamic sounding with a sense of ease that is simply outrageous to hear.

I was very pleased moving from the original cables to the new Sapphire silver cables. I have 1 JS-2 driving a Wavelength Audio USB Spacelator and a Sonore Optical Module Deluxe. Another JS-2 is driving a Roon Nucleus Plus. In terms of what to expect sonically is a tough one to answer. Jesus, Adrian, and Barrows: My initial sonic impressions of the Signature Rendu SE Deluxe are that it is an amazing accomplishment. As good as the former model was, the new Deluxe is a big-time improvement. You folks should be very proud of your new creation !

I successfully set up my new Signature Rendu SE Deluxe. It seems to be working well with my Roon Nucleus +. I'll let it play for 24 hours before listening.

My Signature Rendu SE Deluxe arrived today. I will unpack and set it up tomorrow. 👍

I have lived in my mother’s basement for years. Perhaps you should give it a try and enjoy listening to the Wavelength Spacelator isolator.
