  1. I just bought a new Tesla. While I like the car the media support is poor. No CarPlay to start. I am using my iPhone wirelessly (Bluetooth) to listen to Qobuz, and it sounds good, but it would be much more convenient to have the app baked into the Tesla OS like Tidal is. I saw the response that "Elon has not contacted us" but how about approaching Tesla? There are a lot of Teslas on the road so maybe this would be another good market entry point for the wonderful Qobuz app?
  2. Are you able to identify any particular point in your troubleshooting where the ER started working again? In other words do you know what did the trick or did it just start working again at the end of performing all of the tips?
  3. This pretty much mirrors my experience. I ran my ER from the same LPS for several years. It also powers my Intel NUC Roon Endpoint. When I came upon the ER it had no lights on at all. In the process of troubleshooting I rebooted the LPS. Once I rebooted the LPS I did get power to the input side of the ER but the A side is toast. I did not add it all up but I think that the LPS had a spike which caused the overvoltage protection to turn off that leg. It probably did not happen fast enough to protect the ER. I had a helpful and enjoyable phone conversation with Alex and we agreed on this cause of death. I am now debating whether to send it in for a post mortem or just purchase a new board. My unit is a few months out of warranty. I could also just wait for Gen2 or pick up a used ER...
  4. Thanks for the reply Alex. I did look at the external clock switch when I was trouble shooting and it was already set to INT I look forward to speaking with you.
  5. More info after reading a couple more previous troubleshooting posts... I moved the ER over to my desktop system and used the stock 7.5v supply. I plugged one cable into my switch and one into my laptop. The ER power light does come on. I tried connecting the two cables as: A to B and B to A and A to A. None of these combinations produced connectivity as evidenced by accessing the Internet. The port LED on the B side does light up and blink. None of the A ports show a light or indicate activity in any situation. Ideas?
  6. I have used an EtherREGEN in my system for about three years. I power it from an HDPlex LPS at 12v. Yesterday I could not connect to my Roon server. I found that the ER had no lights on, either for power or for the data ports. I tried rebooting it and also connecting it to another power source. I also tried dropping the voltage to 9v. The power light now showed but the data lights still did not. The bad news is that once it was powered up I noticed the dreaded electronic smokey smell. I quickly disconnected it. It seems like an internal component has failed. For now I reverted to using a regular switch. I sent you a message via your website to find out where I might stand in terms of repair. Fingers crossed! Best, Paul
  7. Thanks! As long as the files are going from the Qobuz server directly to my DAC I can live with an unperfected interface. Looking forward to Qobuz Connect however.
  8. I thought that a Bluesound Node will support Qobuz natively allowing the phone app to just control it. Not sure if this is different from the term "Qobuz Connect" that is being used. David can you clarify? I am considering a Bluesound Node based upon this understanding. I use Roon/Qobuz on my at home system but want to use Qobuz on a media system at another location without sending it from my phone via Bluetooth.
  9. Sorry Actually I mean Console which is the software interface that Unifi uses to control and configure the Dream Machine Pro Router that does DHCP and DNS for my LAN. Sounds like my ER switch does not need or use an IP address though.
  10. I recently moved to a Ubiquiti Unify system. My ER does not show up on my console but another odd device does. It would help me with troubleshooting if I could determine what IP address the ER was taking. Any way to do that?

    Roon 2.0

I finally allowed Roon 2.0 to install and have encountered no issues with the basic functionality. Sounds the same and works the same. I have no need for ARC so I have not configured it. I do think that they will need to reevaluated the complete dependency on an Internet connection though. Luckily I live in an area with high availability but I can see it as an issue in more rural areas or ones with shaky ISP's. I hope that they will continue to provide a "classic version" indefinitely to met the needs of others.
  12. I upgraded my Windows2019 Roon Core server and my Audiolinux NUC headless Roon endpoint without issues. Same with iPhone, iPad and Windows 11 remote devices. Have not tried ARC as I really have no use for it.
  13. When you say "power supply" do you mean the actual internal power supply or the external charger? If external charger just get the 85W. No downside there. If internal SMPS, then I would get the one that the MBP is spec'd for as the higher one may produce more heat. Running on battery is best for SQ. SMPS's can be very good. Hypex and Linear Tube Audio (David Berning) come to mind, but in general an LPS is better.
  14. Harmon Kardon comes to mind. It was originally a premium brand.

    Roon 2.0

Thanks a lot. If you go to Roon Community you would think we were having a mass extinction event! I think that most issues were either with ARC or older servers though...
