  1. I had that happen one time. What solved the issue for me was deleting the Lumin, Tidal and Qobuz app on the i-Pad and starting from scratch. No issues since. FWIW. Good luck. Issues like this can be frustrating to diagnose and get back to normal. Tom
  2. I like your style and you seem like a very cool cat. That said, we are getting way off topic. I'll speak with you privately moving forward, as to not disrupt this thread any longer. Thanks man. My apologies to those who are paying attention or are subscribed to this thread.....now back to your regularly scheduled programming.... Tom
  3. Australia? Holy **** dude.......that's halfway across the planet! LOL Tom
  4. Not yet but if you get what I was talking about? I should. We should chat offline. Tom
  5. Measurements are an assistance IMO. There is a big difference between musicians being in the room (whether it be an ensemble or an orchestra) and a performance presented in front of you that you get engrossed into, sucked into and cannot peel away from because it's no longer about reproduced music. It's about a spooky real performance in front of you that is so pure, rich and musical that any hint of a "reproductive effort" is lost in the wayside and a hindsight to what was. Please understand that this is not a knock on anyone, one's system or measurements. When you know? You know. Tom
  6. Something like this or a plug from anywhere that has a ground that you can add multiples to a certain outlet. Tom
  7. It may not be ideal.....but an outlet splitter would work just to test. FYI. Tom
  8. Dear lawd, even I wouldn't want to know that. With all of the gear that has come and gone? Sometime ignorance is bliss. Tom
  9. IME, DRC can help in certain situations. No doubt about that. I have heard some superb examples, as well as some very bad implementations. I would personally rather address the issues and keep the original signal as pure as possible, without any manipulation of the signal at all - other than addressing any noise that rides the line or is created along the way. A KISS approach, if you will. As strictly a 2 channel guy, my stance would probably change if I were to dabble in a HT setup. Tom
  10. Absolutely. Even if you subscribed to Tidal, Qobuz, Roon, and a plethora of other subscriptions, it wouldn't tally up to much, in the whole grand scheme of things. I did not mean to ruffle feathers with my comment. Totally my bad, if I presented myself that way. That was not anywhere close to my intention. Media, for many in our hobby, makes up quite a bit of the "entire system's" retail. Especially if they have been collecting certain formats and audiophile selections, on top of normal listening media for most of their life. My intention was simply to point this aspect out and keep the conversation going. Tom
  11. Sounds to me like a power blip of some sort, so I would think it would be either the LPS or the cable (seeing as how the internal clock works fine). The ER doesn't need much to have to be reset, if the results from the clock itself has a blip. That said, cables have been known to fail from time to time for various reasons. It's always good to have a back up cable (even if it is cheap) just for testing purposes only. IMO/IME A proper diagnosis of the source of any issue is the hardest part. Tom
  12. I'm quite sure that if media had been included in the retail price of this poll? Many answers would have changed within the poll. Tom
  13. AFAIK, it is a bank of 6 huge caps and a small amount of filtering. (The RG 400 Pro). I do have a spare AQ 1000 laying around. I could try this and see if it works. As mentioned in the PM, the Mutec SE 120 finally "locked" onto the signal today. I am wondering now if this is just simply part of the break in associated with the SE 120. This could be all about nothing... Tom
