  1. “I now have cat 5 to Cisco 2960 from the router, then optical toetherregen, then Audio Sensibility Supra ethernet to my Weiss 501…” So do you have your AS Supra Ethernet coming from the “A side” / optical end of the ER or the “B side” of the ER to your DAC?
  2. Anyone switch out their original Belden star DC cables on their JS-2 for Uptones new sapphire silver DC cables and can share their impressions? Wondering what to expect and if this is worth the upgrade. Thanks.
  3. Easy enough, thank you! Thoroughly enjoying the ER Gen 1 with JS-2 LPS! Looking to add/ upgrade to the Sonore OM and was hoping not to worry about swapping out my Cisco SFP cable. 👍🏼
  4. Is a Cisco 10G-Base Active Optical SFP -10G-AOC compatible with the sonore optical module?
  5. appreciate you sharing your experience with this configuration. I will try this myself and determine what works best.
  6. Router > Network switch > switch via Ethernet cable to ER “A side” port 1 > Ethernet cable from ER “B side” > Gustard R26 DAC via Ethernet connection. (Using R26 built in streamer as endpoint) * Network switch and ER are connected via Uptone JS-2 LPS. *
  7. Appreciate the replies.:. But with all these different configurations or variables, I’m semi confused.. ultimately it seems everyone is going with the “B port” to > (what would be in my case) the DAC/ renderer. How the SFP/ Fiber that would have to be connected to the” A side” benefit my DAC, I still don’t know, since it wouldn’t be connected via that “A” end unless I used a Ethernet cable from one of the A ports that would end up connected to the DAC.
  8. So not sure what I’m missing but if one has an ER and is using the recommended “B Side” to connect to your DAC or Streamer, what SQ benefits does adding a SFP module/ FMC bring to the audio that some are referring to? Are you bypassing or forgoing the use of the ER’s “B side” and going straight from the “A sides” SFP connection?
  9. Greatly appreciate the added insight and knowledge… Apart from using the JS-2 with the ER, I just have a 5V switch that is daisy chained to the ER, connected to the other output rail so I can’t imagine that switch is drawing a significant power load. That said, the ER is quite warm to the touch despite the 12V setting.
  10. Excellent. Thank you for the reply. I’ll give this a try.
  11. When connecting an ER to the JS-2 what’s the recommended voltage setting on the JS-2? The ER appears to read 7v-12v, hence the question and most of this is still Greek to me.. :)
