Garcia’s devotion marks him as a true rock connoisseur of avant-garde jazz. (Perhaps the only other Coleman fans in the rock world as indebted to his influence are the also-legendarily-drug-fueled indie experimentalists Royal Trux.) It turns out the appreciation was mutual. “Coleman himself was aware of musical similarities between the Dead and his own group, Prime Time,” which also had two drummers. "Each emphasizes both melody and look-Ma-no-limits improvisation," wrote David Fricke in a 1989 Rolling Stone article about “jazz’s eternal iconoclast finding a new audience” through his association with Garcia and company. Upon witnessing the Dead play Madison Square Garden in 1987, and awed by the fans’ ultimate dedication, Coleman found himself thinking, “’Well, we could be friends here.’ Because if these people here could be into this, they could dig what we’re doing.” It would take six more years, but Coleman finally played with the Dead in 1993 at their annual Mardi Gras celebration at the Oakland Coliseum. Checked the Aurender website guide on SSD installation where it states " The only limitation is the physical form factor, not the storage capacity." So the AP20 can accept 16TB of storage (2 X 8 TB)? -
Remember that the first Friday is Bandcamp Friday and all proceeds go right to the artist.

It's been a month since I updated my uR. I have an M3 and, up till now, no problems. Sounds like I need to wait a little longer before my next update, -
...you gotta get to Longfellow/Seward more often!

Here is an example of why I think Roon is valuable. One track on the five CD collection "Box Of Sin" (a great Edsel collection of "full-length gay clubbing") has a song that is sung by Sarah Jane Morris singing with The Communards. Roon makes it pretty easy to discover her working with one of my favorite bands well into the next century, the great Pere Ubu! It's her only appearance that I have in a collection of some 11,000 albums.

When using Roon, my sT7 feeding a uR into a Bricasti M3 DAC may need a reboot several times a year. That's with nearly 7TB of music pretty much playing music 24/7. I bought in at the original asking lifetime price, $500.00 I think. Right now, Roon is still offering a lifetime subscription for $830.00. I bet the lifetime option will not continue to be offered. Even at that price, even though the system needs to be connected to the internet, it still remains the best audio investment that I have ever made. YMMV.

Beatles Red and Blue - 2023 - Compilations

"The early Dylan albums are also better in mono--Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61, Blonde on Blonde--all great with a more focused, more powerful sound. That is the perfect description of the Stones mono! -
