I was just using 3 for an example since I dont have amarra on my work computer to reference. Use 2 or 4 preload.

It might be up to how much memory it has. I was trying to load a group of 24/96 songs that would only load up to the first 21 songs out of 30 something I think. When I preload a smaller amount of songs say like 3. What happens when it is done playing those songs is random. Sometimes it plays the next song, sometimes it goes back to the first song of the preloaded tracks, sometimes it skips to some random album and plays the first song. I will email them about the 4gb issue and see what they say.

When the memory is set to 4GB, does anybody out there have the catch memory show up? It works on 2Gb. Also, if you set it to like 3 songs, it loads the songs and at the end of the 3 songs, what is it suppose to do? Does it load the next 3 or does it go to the beginning first song. Mine sometimes will randomly load the first song of a different album when it reaches the end of the preloaded songs.

No, just the Klieber and I also have the Vaska complete set. I wish they would release the HD version of the Vaska set since it is also available as sacd. I was excited when they brought the vaska set to hdtracks because I figured they would release the hr version but they never did.

I listened to the 5th today. The recording quality is great, but the 5th was so slow. It was like listening to a record on the wrong speed.

Mine has always had the glitch where it doesnt show the memory used if it is set at 4G. 2G always shows. I am not sure why this is, but it is the same with the newest version. I have 8GB of ram on my imac so memory isnt a problem.

I didnt realize it was $20 for all the symphonies in high res. What a deal. I will download tomorrow.

Probably the best headset for music and conversation is the senheiser pc 360. The beyerdynamic mmx-300 is also good. They are both based off of audiophile headphones with attached mics. It would be better/cheaper to get a cheap headset for conversation and get a separate get a good can for music.

I used to have problems with pops/ticks on 24/192 music. I found that when I switched to a aes/ebu cable to my input into my dac the problem never happened again. I also experimented with better quality spdif cables and found that the pure silver ones caused the least amount of skips. Spdif always did. This is something else to think about what in the computer could be causing the problem.

By my understanding of macs, in which I may be wrong, they save the files to the harddrive differently then pc making defragmentation not needed. Also I have read that it optimizes files that are used a lot by moving them to a better position on the harddrive. If you are still worried about it, you can make a backup/image of your computer on an external harddrive, format the harddrive in your mac, then reload the backup back into your mac. This would probably be the most optimum way to do it.

What type of amp will you be using to run them or are you going to be just using them from your laptop or ipod? Also, what type of music do you listen to? This info might help us narrow down the field.

For the price it is a great little amp with a lot of power. With that being said, if they have a big rig already why would they need it?

Should I upgrade to itunes 10.4 if I am not upgrading to lion? Is there any problems with amarra working with itunes 10.4? Thanks
