  1. +1 on the Witmer Trio "FREE" as to Carmen Gomes Inc. I find the 'One mic+" recordings incredible, I am talking about these two; Carmen Gomes Inc. - Stones In My Passway and Carmen Gomes Inc. - Up Jumped The Devil
  2. The guitar player from Carmen Gomes Inc, Folker Tettero, has few fine albums on BandCamp as well. This album recorded and mastered by Sound Liaison engineer Frans de Rond is excellent;
  3. It is sad to see him go, but I'm sure he is welcomed in music heaven by all the greats that came before him....and what a contribution to music this legend made!
  4. as I just mentioned in another thread, the album is 40% of this week. And I agree it does sound very very good. Those 1 mic recordings all seem to get even better with time. Lately I've been listening to the new Joshua Redman recording. I like the music but sound wise it doesn't even come close to those 1 mic recordings. One can only hope he will make one as well.
  5. The FeenBrothers recording is 40% off this week. Feenbrothers - Play Dave Brubeck
  6. For a complete start to finish album it does not get better than this; 'Stones in My Passway'
  7. I heard him give a recital back in the '80s. Wonderful performer and entertaining too and what a sound!
  8. I believe they record in 352 and then after mixing and editing create 2 masters using analog mastering equipment, that's how I understand it, Joe Whip is a bit of an expert on that label and has direct contact with them, maybe Joe knows more?
  9. List her Robert Johnson albums as well. They are a high point in her career and the SQ is incredible; there is even a 32/768 version at soundliaison.com.
  10. The text above is written by Rushton Paul for PossitiveFeedback magazine.
