Words of wisdom Chris. I just saw a post from an owner of a beautiful new system fretting his Vivaldi stack he just bought is now obsolete. Consumer reactions are every bit as predictable as marketing hype. We'll see it again when MSB launches their Sentinel DAC next year. It's interesting to note there is a kind of counter-DAC movement happening with the new Taiko Olympus "XDMI Analog" output option (though it uses an inexpensive imbedded DAC).

Great orchestra, and wasn't aware anyone was underrating them. Hurwitz at ClassicsToday almost uniformly praises them. I really liked the Bates here.

As I read the main article I was thinking there are a number of Wilson speakers which could be keepers for life. I'm still very happy with my Alexia 2's (not to mention the tranquility of contentment no matter one's possessions).

The best way I found to remove any residual adhesive material which is still tacky, without scratching the underlying surface, is too wrap a piece of scotch tape around a few fingers and repetitively press and pull the tape on the residue, replacing the tape as needed. Eventually the residue will adhere to the tape and pull away, and you won't add scratches.

Right, Puppies were initially add-ons, and were finished with laminate and velcro for the covers, though I liked the swappable "Puppy tails". My only issue then was the coupling device, bituminous discs, which adhered to the Puppy tops, and had to be perfectly level or the heavy WATT would slowly drag them towards level (on my then out-of-level second story floor). Also, if you had a fan in the room, the velcro backing would dry out and disintegrate (which my buyer told me about later). Just some fun, early trivia long since rectified.

Brings back very fond memories for me, and so glad Wilson did this. If memory doesn't fail, my WATT/Puppies were version V, and I paid $15K for them in the 90s. Loved them. Ideal for smaller rooms.
