That's great news! I'm glad it worked out for you.

Hmm... It's been years since I used Music/iTunes as my primary music player. I scrolled down to start seeing it. After I moved past the ones I added recently, the ones under the Last 6 Months category, I see the ones I added, or purchased, in 2016 and 2015. (I'm a clean install macOS kinda guy.) I can't remember exactly when, but this is the method Apple has used for the last, nearly 10 years. How about adding a screenshot of what you see
-
I don't recall ever seeing the actual dates. For the last few years, it has most definitely been "Today," "This Week," "This Month," etc. Looking at the app and scrolling beyond the Last 6 months, it goes to year. For me that's 2016, which is the last time I purchased from iTunes / Music or adding anything to the Music app.

How do I remove Apple Music from music app
coke replied to cambridgehank's topic in iTunes and Everything Apple
So, no longer possible to even disable it? (If a user subscribes to it.) -
I'm using it on Catalina and it works perfectly for me. I can access all its functions with no problems. Did you try a reinstall?

iTunes Folder Structure Issues (Again)
coke replied to Moosbrugger's topic in iTunes and Everything Apple
Yes, with Catalina, that’s when iTunes became Music, and the TV app made its debut. All your video files, i.e., Home Videos, TV Shows, Movies, etc. should falls under TV. However, Music Videos still play in Music. When I upgraded to Catalina, I did a clean install. After the upgrade did its thing, I moved the files associated with the Music app onto an external drive. The only thing I left on the internal drive were songs and videos I downloaded from iTunes years ago. Here are two articles written by Kirk McElhearn. The first talks about the splitting up of iTunes into four distinct apps. https://kirkville.com/some-thoughts-on-the-app-formerly-known-as-itunes-and-macos-catalina/ This one was useful for rebuilding your library. However, I am not sure how it would apply to an external drive. https://kirkville.com/how-to-rebuild-your-itunes-library/ iTunes folder structure issues caused me great pain, helped me migrate to an external drive, and then onto another app to play my music files, including flac ones. -
I'm primarily interested in the version I purchased. Discogs was the first thing I checked. My label isn't listed there, but then again people provide a lot of its power. Yep, also checked musicbrainz.

I agree. For “He Not In,” the Chicken Lips song pictured at the top, the original song came out in 2002. What’s pictured is the latest incarnation from 2017. Apparently, after the original song was released, there were remixes done. Now, you can have different releases containing three, five, six or seven songs. I don’t believe 4 To The Floor Records was the label for the original release. With the copyright, I was trying to see what I actually purchased.

Point #7 listed by @Ivingpretty much sums it up for me. I suppose there are as many reasons/motives for using these fields as there are interested parties. It can help identity and track the work, that's one of the points for me.

@Dan Gravell Thanks so much for your response. I was pretty sure that Publisher and the record label went together. I wasn’t really sure about Copyright at all, but your answer provided a great direction for me to investigate. The ID3 link was an added bonus. Looking at the albums and tracks I have downloaded from the big sites, I find either the Publisher field or Copyright field has metadata included, but usually not both fields. I may not care about it for everything I download, but for some fields it helps identify what I just purchased. Thanks, again.

I am tagging a couple of digital files. I am using Meta. I just want to make sure I have this correct for the Publisher and Copyright fields. Does the Record Label go into the Copyright field? I included some examples. Thanks for your help!

Hello David Yes, I did try on other computers. Still the same thing. I am not going to send you my account info. It's just not worth it. I think the Qobuz customer service needs a refinement. Slow to get involved and no other solutions for a company that offers and advertises its download store. Telling me I should contact customer service before I pay and start downloading file! Bad customer service. And after messages like these: (Qobuz) Sep 21, 2021, 14:31 UTC Hi , Thanks for sharing your feelings about the Qobuz service with me. I’ll communicate your improvement requests to the team and let them know this impacts your experience in a less than optimal way. We are always working to improve our service to keep up with the big players. We can do better, and we will. Have a great day! Regards, from Qobuz I feel that Qobuz customer service really doesn't care, never thought of users experiencing this issue, or simply doesn't care. Big players? Why even include that? Thanks for your offer, but I will get the files from another source. Frankly, I am glad this happened before I purchased the Prince and Tom Petty sets. Thanks for the offer, though Regards, coke -

It's no. 1, Remixes, Pt. 2, a 4-track EP. I've just found it on another site. -
