  1. It just sounds .. (from the 60's) ... bitchin! The dragonfly with USB Audio Player is my go to; other players also work well with the dragonfly. If you look at my components for my music system you know I prefer great sound. IMHO car markers made a big mistake by vacating analogue in. Over the weekend I will hook up my laptop and w/ digital out and in and also checking on bluetooth using HQ Player and see how that corresponds but I am not betting on a positive outcome for myself. Again thanks for everone's input.
  2. Most if not all new cars are digital in and bluetooth only. No analogue aux input. IMHO digital out from phone or digital out from other sources to digital in sounds horrible; not sweet but harsh and dry. Same audio system as the previous Lexus; Mark Levinson. The only way to make the music sound excellent is a direct aux analogue input. Even w/o the dragonfly the sound was better. The dragonfly dac made it be superb. All comments are appreciated.
  3. My older car was w/ analogue input. I used a dragonfly from my phone. The sound was magnificently spacious, warm and detailed. Various players that could even play dsd. I had real bottoms, great mids and wonderful highs. I really miss all that encompassing wonderfulness.
  4. No more analogue (aux) input on the new cars. Anyone have a solution to have an aux analogue input installed. Appears no solutions as of yet.. I have a 2023 Lexus.
  5. I just discovered Beat-Sonic USA. Through 2022 they have produced a work around for Lexus and other cars via their own design kits that includes a usb aux in directly to the Levinson System, Bose, etc. I was told that within six months they will be able to do the same for my 2023. Their system will not void any cars warranty. (Actually my service rep at Lexus knew of them even when the sales staff at Lexus did not. I even spoke to Lexus design support and that went, "you know where.") We shall see. Thanks all ! @Bones13. My 2016 450h had the input.
  6. @mav 52... that makes you a very safe driver who gets mediocre ear play, lol. I may be forced to be part of your philsophy until a proper fix is available.
  7. Just asking for any additional info since I posted this. Thanks.
  8. My Lexus has the Levinson system which was brilliant with the Audioquest dac. Sounds terrible w/o. Uggh.
  9. Sadly that is probably true. Thanks for your input.

I just purchased a new Lexus SUV and there is no analogue rca input so I can use my dragon fly DAC with my Samsung phone ... The new Lexus only has a usb input which I know is strictly digital. I miss the warmth and detail of my dragon fly input. I an play a usb stick lossless but the sound is not wonderful. Any suggestions for much better sound ? Thank you.
  11. On my system @ office I am using optical out to pre-amp. Preamp hard wired to speakers, either amped Focal or ATC. Switched pre amps and no sound improvement. Again, thanks for your suggestions.
  12. Thanks for the clarification, however the muddled sound is present in my office set up which is audiophile ; at this location the muddled sound "comes and goes," and never an issue when I stream movies or play HQDVD's." Spectrum is my cable provider. Thanks again for your response.n
  13. I recognize that the cable networks, Spectrum et. al. compress sound and it is uniquely muddled and very difficult to understand even at high volume. . Is there a fix to get the sound more natural and detailed, especially the vocals ? Thanks in advance.
  14. I want to purchase a single bluetooth wide spectrum superior quality speaker for my Samsung ... Recommendations are appreciated.
  15. FYI. The forums mods suggested a fix ... but I just uninstalled and reinstalled and all is well.
  16. Have both Tidal & Qobuz available w/ Audirvana latest edition 3.5.50. In discover & new releases I can play. I can load my HD Library & play all via Audirvana... Using Audirvana If I search an artist and press play... nothing. Been doing this for a couple of days. (Qobuz app & Tidal app itself plays fine.) Please assist. Thanks.
  17. the Qobuz app works so this is an Audirvana issue.

  21. My new Bowers & Wilkins P17 are very pleasing. Finally an ear bud that presents great detail and balance that I appreciate. Been through Bose, Grado, Sennheisers, etc. and the P17's are the best so far for my ears. Please comment as I am trying to achieve perfection with bluetooth that is far from perfect itself. thanks.
  22. I got it to work. Other recommended suggestions did not work for me. Lots of roads to Rome, thanks.

Go to desktop and find Qobuz link and click. Open Client, sign in local host, scroll left and when you see Library scroll down and there is Qobuz. Just sign in and BINGO... Best to all....
