  1. Yes, I know foobar doesn't decode DSD natively.
  2. There are several plugins. I don't want to decode a DSD file, I want to convert from PCM to DSD in real time. I can do this with JRiver Media Center and a Topping D90 DAC.
  3. Hi. How do I convert from PCM to DSD in real time in foobar? In JRiver Media Center it's very simple: DSD Studio -> Output Format -> Output Encoding = 1xDSD in native format (requires ASIO and 1xDVD capable DAC) Playback Options -> Audio -> Audio Device = My DAC [ASIO] It works perfectly. Is it possible to do this in foobar?
  4. Hi. Is it possible to use HQPlayer Embedded on Mercury V3 (by Pi 2 Design) and connect it to DAC Topping D90 via i2s? Thank you.
  5. Hi. The Raspberry Pi 5 have the ability to run HQPlayer Embedded with full features? Is it possible to use HQPlayer Embedded on a Raspberry Pi 5 as a UPnP renderer and a computer as a UPnP server, using NAA, all communicating via WiFi? I use my DAC via USB on the computer. I want to connect the Raspberry Pi 5 to the DAC via i2s (connection that supports the closest resolution to USB). Would a DDC work? Or a HAT with i2s output? Thank you.
  6. The list NOS PCM Capable DACs have the entry: Holo Audio (except Cyan DSD) The Cyan 2 is true NOS PCM?
  7. Using this method worked. But why? What would this “HTTP stream” be technically? What is the foobar "UPnP Controller" is doing controlling the HQPlayer Embedded? What protocol is foobar using? What does a program need to do what foobar is doing? I just want to understand what is happening.
  8. Hi. I don't know if you remember me. I'm the guy with the HQPlayer Embedded (Ubuntu Server) installed on a VMware virtual machine using the Windows as the host. The guy who couldn't make HQPlayer Embedded on the virtual machine access the foobar UPnP server on the host. The conclusion we reached is that VMware cannot access the host via multicast. But, I managed to get it to work via "HTTP stream": In foobar I use "UPnP Controller". I choose HQPlayer Embedded as render. I need to press PLAY through the "UPnP Controller", regardless of the foobar output, the sound goes to the renderer, in this case the HQPlayer Embedded. Right-click on the song in the playlist and play it using the "UPnP Controller". In the HQPlayer Client appears "HTTP stream" and the music plays perfectly. If I press PLAY normally on foobar, the sound goes to the foobar output, and not to HQPlayer. Many thanks to everyone again. Cheers.
  9. I am back. How can I use a program like tcpdump to check if the virtual machine is receiving multicast when I run networkaudiod?
  10. So, I think it has come to an end. Thank you everyone for your patience and help.
  11. Does Ubuntu Server have some kind of firewall? Is there a way to disable these protections (like the firewall)?
  12. Is it normal for everything to be zero = 0.0.0.0? Wouldn't it have to be WASAPI instead of ASIO?
