I know this is reaaaaally old, but it has been a while since I wandered over here. Just in case someone still needs the RS-232 interface information. I have used the RealTerm serial /TCP terminal capture program from SourceForge. The RS232 box of the Analog requires a 3.5mm (2 ring) male. I use a 3.5mm to serial cable that goes to a serial to USB cable unit (Staples had one back in the day) DB9 9 Pin Female to 3.5mm Male Plug Serial Cable RS232 to 1/8 inch Conversion Cable USB 2.0 to Serial (9-Pin) DB-9 RS-232 Converter Cable Since the change of the firmware to remove the user digital filter selection, this RS232 unit saved my MSB from becoming a brick. On the MSB website there is a DAC4 RS232 command table pdf which can be used for the commands in the Analog as well. I cannot stand Linear Phase Filter as it fatigues and pains my ears, which is the default unless you manually switch to Minimum Phase.

Of course they did not eliminate digital filters, they just do not provide the user with the choice any longer and settled on their linear phase filter. Some people are more sensitive to linear phase vs. minimum phase filters. Some good articles and videos out there, in the pro-audio world as well.
