The simple answer is YES. Upto now, albums that I bought, and dissappeared from Qobuz (or re-appeared with another catalog reference) were always available to me to redownload. Apparently this has changed now. But let's get everything in perspective : I am loosing the 'redownload' possibility on 5 albums out of little over 500 purchased albums. Of course impact for other users could be much higher (I believe there's much more going on in the Classical genre department then in others).

Could you please provide a link? Thanks, Dirk

New NAS or Storage For My Music
Apollo replied to The Computer Audiophile's topic in Disk Storage / Music Library Storage
Any Synolgy Nas runs Miniimserver. As they all use the same software, you can choose depending on other requirements: price, nbr. of bays, lan speed, … e.g. Synology DiskStation DS223 has good reviews. -
Invite: Blind Listening Survey - "High-End" DACs...
Apollo replied to Archimago's topic in General Forum
Unfortunately, this survey is not done pure for entertainment. Maybe we should request all the users, are using an ADC in combination with HQPlayer NAA to listen to streaming services not supported by HQPlayer, Roon and others, to buy 2 other ADC's in order to test which is the best ADC for that specific function. Or we can ask the RooeXtend customers, using an ADC to play back/record vinyl, to buy some extra ADC's to test for difference in audio quality? I would not know of any other user that would use a DAC --> ADC --> DAC to test which DAC they should keep in their audio chain. If Archimago has to tell us something, he can measure and listen to 3 different DAC's, and report on it both objectively (measurements) and subjectively (listening). I would appreciate his feedback far more than with this forced/tweaked/ what ever you call it , 'entertainment' show. I could as well look/listen to the Euro Songfestival ( SARCASTIC !!!) Dirk -
Invite: Blind Listening Survey - "High-End" DACs...
Apollo replied to Archimago's topic in General Forum
I still do not understand how this test can possibly reveal anything. One goes from digital to analog using 3 different dac's. Then I suppose this is recorded again analog to digital using ADC? So what is the impact of the ADC on the resulting files? In a normal production chain, one goes from analog to digital, that's (more or less) it. Then, one is going to listen to these files with one's own dac. S,o, one's own dac should be able to reveal the differences of the dac's used earlier in the chain. What is then the most critical step in this exercise. I for one, do not get it, and certainly will not spend any time tring to find out difference in the source. I most probably do not understand Archimago'sgoal and proces, but for me this is creating one's own truth. -
Why not for everybody's happiness, discuss in the appropriate forum topics, each its own, and not in this 'comparitive' topic?

Is it correct that you did not change the version number? I am wondering if I am downloading a new (different) version at all? file name: HQPresets Setup 1.0.0.exe

I finally got it working, albeit on another Windows PC (Microsoft Surface) Difference: MS uses Defender (which asked for permission) My Lenovo laptop is protected by Norton. Even disabling Norton for 15min does not help. Dirk

I also tried after removing Powershell 7 (basic Powershell remains active apparently). Did not make any difference. Don't worry, Windows software can be full of surprises. Maybe you should ask around on te forum who has actually tried/succeeeded to get HQPresets running on Win 11. Have a nice evening. Dirk

I have tried that, does not make any difference, logfile is the same.

I copied the folder to my Desktop. Retried HQPreset. Same error message in logfile [2024-05-05 20:29:13.444] [error] Error finding Win32 hqp5-control.exe Path: Error: Command failed: powershell "Get-ChildItem -Path 'C:\Program Files' -Filter 'hqp5-control.exe' -Recurse -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue | Select-Object -First 1 -ExpandProperty FullName" at ChildProcess.exithandler (node:child_process:422:12) at ChildProcess.emit (node:events:518:28) at maybeClose (node:internal/child_process:1105:16) at ChildProcess._handle.onexit (node:internal/child_process:305:5) [2024-05-05 20:29:13.479] [info] Express server closed
