Qobuz Feature Requests
rando replied to The Computer Audiophile's topic in Networking, Networked Audio, and Streaming
I am curious about whether support logging capability might be harnessed to allow storing a highly simplified text based recording of app usage on user devices. Something buried out of sight far enough it won't promote active or extensive usage. No user accessible parameters. Start process and it automatically stops a set number of hours later. Text file lands in download folder set within app. What I would like to capture is a very sparse navigational framework + item played (album or track play was initiated from). Just enough recollections to begin a lovesick search for jolie laide beauty you let slip away that might yield to some intense legwork reconnecting the two of you. Something you were afforded a momentary glance of that got lost in the throng. Not available on mobile please! Not available for auto-play please! They have enough memory problems already. -

Excellent, so you have finally chosen to utilize the metadata form! !! I wasn't sure after how many times links have been promoted it would register with your paid staff writers and contributors of other content in other ways. Constantly hanging an air of unresolved conflict over the discussion. I am deeply concerned that you appear to struggle grasping response I quoted was nigh on unanswerable. Having been constructed in a pouting fashion laying innumerous traps. Instead of sincerely applying itself towards a cooperative effort in any way capable of delivering a satisfactory ending point. Dissipating community bias towards advancing in the face of growing concerns has greatly lessened the effective worth of contributions meeting the above rigid principled actions. Finally... as an online service provider Qobuz has been hit with an immense amount of unexpected overloads easily vanquishing the efforts of their small work force throughout the still ongoing pandemic and assorted other developing crises. As I seem wont to remind you, bafflingly I might add, the very reason Qobuz staff are active on this site was a high level of cooperation, foresight, and above all willingness to observe and collate productive insights that showed this forum to be occupied by professional minded individuals formulating their responses into avenues directly stated as being useful at tiers exceeding the ground level. Or in an alarmingly larger number of recent cases, subterranean. My Qobuz issue remains the amount of bullying, beleaguering, and backhanded beatdowns on offer to anyone making fastidious efforts at resolving matters presented. This isn't about touting an instance of thanking them in some capacity despite not getting immediate reply or reward. It is about being thankful the music very rarely encounters obstacles that prevent it from bettering offerings by any other streaming provider. Some of the failures have been spectacular without doubt. Put up against multiple of the largest corporations on earth I'd say they have comported themselves quite well recovering without losing ground. Gaining it in fact. Briefly, could you offer an explanation how you established a basis for declaring behavior towards Qobuz staff implies special treatment. Positive or negative. I would also like to remind you this is a business focused support thread monitored by Qobuz staff in an official capacity. The correct place to discuss your feelings would be a personal thread in the Music Downloads & Streaming sub-forum. Where personal invitations may be advanced for the purpose of entering into however broad of topical fare you wish inspire others to engage with. -

Yes, I grabbed the first link in my bookmarks which appears to have held previous data captive. Thank you for confirming how easily discoverable the English language version is. Without doubt that discovery will produce a rapid increase in AS members as well as general subscribers opting to use that form. -

Perhaps I was too blunt in dealing out a response that deprived you of need to reply. If you find anything lacking in my response to Aeyrxe, please correct it to match the desires of your business interests. I found the immediate attack a telling response of those who abuse this channel and personnel at will. This should in all ways be a proactive place to seek help free of personal conflicts. -

There is a form in place to report this type of error which you and numerous others repeatedly ignore in favor of claiming personal face time with a live representative. To throw toys from the pram until you get your way by fussing about ??? Clearly sites such as this and reddit have seen to the removal of those I refer actively monitoring this thread. For that piece of awareness I duly offer thanks. In simpler English. You have produced a selfsame recitation of issues related to metadata and/or files listed as the issuing body has decided to make them available for streaming/sale. This is cold hard fact. Every single time the answer is... Qobuz sends an email requesting issuing party to consider issue being reported to them through customer service channels. Qobuz cannot alter names signed, they cannot tamper with goods they are sent to resell/stream. This is cold hard fact. Contracts are legal documents. If that scares you into accusations, heave away my good man. Why yes, yes there is. At this point I can only note how fully you have hit the nail square on the head!!!! Here is a link to the form Qobuz have set up for reporting of metadata issues being encountered. Simply sign in and translate from the native French if required. They are based in France and this is how they chose to set up a collection point. You are free make a request to Qobuz team in your country asking them to set up a form in another language more applicable to your usage. Here is a link to the form Qobuz have set up for requesting artists/albums (etc.) you would like to see present on your country's site. Please let me know if anything above is beyond your full and immediate understanding. I am merely one of the US based subscribers who attempt to provide help where possible. By no means was my reply meant to replace the reply by employee actively monitoring David's or from any other official Qobuz account on this site. -

Si votre approche présente des lacunes, adaptez-la. Nous n'avons pas une vie parfaite ni la capacité d'éviter les petits défauts. Le son d'Amazon est parfait, pas de? Exactly. 1. Taking up time of a valuable upper level employee to conduct low level database charges you assume fall within their direct ability. Despite it being pointed out numerous times the exact sequence changes must come through. 2. Stating their business to them in manners that don't preclude outright entitlement of responsible parties, works and pieces within, as well as their arrangement inside of a legally contracted for streaming and/or download album provided directly by those tasked with management of such. -
Shoot, this was the forum version of missing both birds with a poorly aimed stone. First, it wasn't even my post. Second I forgot to add the link that made sense of my comment to @semente. Edit: Internal links to specific posts are awful here now. Second post down is the horrorshow.

This replying to yourself... I commiserate in full. Totally unrelated. I came across this album and was compelled to buy it through the same inarguable force insisting it be posted here.

Press Release Further exciting moves from Qobuz' parent company taking the company into the fastest developing streaming market at 32.5% growth in 2021. A very welcome direction to explore I'm sure many here will agree. A step towards the future of high quality lossless streaming and downloads from the countries of Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and, in Europe, Portugal.

This is more of an abstraction following my previous post. 1. Release date of New Years Day 2029. Full album is available for streaming or purchase. Purchase button is greyed out using Windows app but allows album to be placed in cart on the store site. "Various Artists + Sort by release date (new)" is how I discovered what might be internally interesting or not at all. Same search, shows up under "Other" instead of "Album" Release date of March 22, 2045. Same deal - plays and allows purchase. 2. Logging into US-EN store shifts you into the French language atmosphere including the Captcha. Potentially an issue for some. -

I have a rather unique issue to report. The following Pre-release has been present under the Classical category since introduction of the category specific breakdown went live. As a preemptive move I'm suggesting the humor it will be received with on this site is not likely to convey itself across the wider audience of Classical subscribers. There are a few others on this list which pose no issue. Link to album presale on US store. -

With apologies to those who make use of their time adding worthwhile contributions. The list of demands readily being accrued here amounts to as near as possible copying what competitors have done in the past, removal of intelligent programming (curation, oblique discovery, depth of knowledge, immediately being confronted with catalog size), and making a complete shift away from any reasonable ability to maintain continuity across internal refinements factoring in a larger pool of adult interests. To bring short sighted over simplifications into immediate effect. Starving lions and other bestial novelties in the coliseum disemboweling outcasts prone towards steadying erudite thoughts in order to appease those crying... Crüe fans are the best. %$*@ the rest! -

You do realize the platform was built around intelligent, read sophisticated users, dissemination of search results across a catalog with innumerous releases of the same works in select genres. Out of that rose ability to discover new music in a conscientious environment that might seem messy to less orderly minds. -

The why is rights owner decided not to license the tracks/albums in HiRes. This is the fast paced world of streaming. Music rights are trading at a blistering pace. If you take issue with the actions of those who own, and can therefore contract usage at will, rights there is only one formative course of action you an individual can pursue. Track them down and request they reinstall their music on your preferred streaming site. -

It is? As was stated on the last page, you or anyone are exceedingly welcome to convene in numbers at the appropriate place to chit chat to your hearts content. Here that place is again for your perusal and potential usage. Show some respect to overworked Qobuz staff' ability to directly focus on issues here. TIA. -

@Ran I enjoy the healthy intellect you bring and regret you live in an unsupported country. Were there more like you active on this site it would be a better place for it. Anger is starting to get the better of your unrequited desires. Someone with your technical expertise and level of interest in audio would do very well to suggest a developable strategy over a string of wizard level programs in fashion with a tiny subset of audiophiles. To an educated observer it might appear you are talking to members of the same minority interest. Think globally, act rationally. Ever heard the saying the shoemaker's children go barefoot? We are still shoed and marching ahead. -

There is a lot of infrastructure maintained outside of Qobuz servers which could impact service. One of their competitors operates a rather large one. Life is very complicated again this year. 30 minutes to receive a confirmation email that bounced across the pond in middle of the night is not unreasonable. Nor was the 5 minutes Windows app struggled to gain purchase on a connection last night. Think globally, act rationally. -

I figured it was W11 or something I had yet to find of my own doing that was at fault. Playing around with Foobar recently, at least one plugin created issues. When it happens for me nearly all the setting are lost. Never logs me out though. -
Please let us know what you find. Unavoidable at some point is noting the vast majority of audio related programs have shifted towards eye candy visual effects in a big way. Complexities to this end no doubt add to the troubles your screenreader might face. I personally would feel better if there was a piece of equipment, probably running on top of Linux these days, one of us could verify would work for you. Even if you had a low amount of interest in it.
