The crashing issue has been resolved as of the latest patch.

I'll never use iTunes.....Using the Qobuz app for streaming and JRiver for local files.

I am on the same build of Audirvana and Windows 10 and have sent @damien78 all requested files, logs etc.....I have uninstalled and wiped all remnants of Audirvana...folders, files and the registry. I have moved my music files to different disks, USB drives and NAS. Still crashes. Installed Audirvana on another account, same comp...same crash behavior. Even crashes if I only point to a single folder with a single music file. On top of that I have Qobuz and even that flashes like crazy requiring me to jump around in Qobuz to stop it. This whole experience is pissing me off as I am a paying customer and here I am with a useless product I paid good money for. And yeah, it works for you. But how many people give the trial a test and if fails for them, check out their support forum and see that this is a three month+ ongoing issue and move on? He needs to roll back to a version that did not have the issue, or allow those of us with the issue to use an earlier version until he figures it out. Instead....silence....dead silence.

A bunch of us are posting on the official Audirvana forum about it crashing on Windows at startup. Been going on for months with very little help from the Dev. Been unusable for me going on three months and have tried everything. Ether the dev does not care or doesn't have the skills set to fix it. I pay for Qobuz but just started a 30 day free with Tidal. If I search in Audirvana for a band, I only get Qobuz results…So, with both accounts active I am unable to search for music within Tidal, which makes Tidal absolutely useless. Or am I doing something wrong?

Well the database checks out OK....but sending you the file is probably not happening as my upload is 10Mbps at best and the database is 1.2GB. Also from my example above, Ace Frehley is listed as the artist...here is the meta shown in Audirvana. But will not show no matter how I sort the library. I can only find with a search and Ace Frehley is the only artist on this album. I'll try 3.5 and see what happens...

I have done that.....in fact if you look at my old posts, I did redo my entire collection for it to play well with Audirvana. Why does this work flawlessly in every program but Audirvana?

This is what drives me nuts. Where is the 3.5 beta? Don't see it on the site, the forums etc. I just wasted 10 minutes looking for it.

Looking at JRiver 24 which I have not used in awhile shows many missing artists that Audirvana does not show. Looking at the tags, I cannot see what would cause this. BTW, I am a database admin and do field compares for conversions for an insurance client management software. I take databases from companies that want to merge with our software and match/edit fields so the conversion is successful. Attached are screens from JRiver and Audirvana. You can see missing artists like Ace Frehley and Aretha Franklin. Both of which show up in a search, but not in any view I choose in the library. Here is a search for "Ace Frehley". He shows up in a search under "artists", but is not listed in the library when "album artist" is chosen. Tags are in line with artist that do show in the library. So the only way I can find Ace Frehley is through a search as he is nowhere in the library view. I am getting ready to dump Audirvana.....just not worth the hassle anymore.

Artist, Album Artist....does not matter. And the only Aimee Mann album with multiple artists is Magnolia and in one of my screens you can see the three versions with the different artists etc. Tags are clean and I run everything through Musicbrainz after a rip. In fact I added another artist earlier and had no issues. This is a random thing and if you look at my older posts, I had other issues like this. I have a few other Music Library programs like Music Bee, and JRiver 24 and both see and sort perfectly.

This is driving me nuts and is only an issue with Audirvana. I have zero issues in other music library software. No matter what I do, I cannot get Audirvana to see some artists. I can search and their music will show by artist, album etc. But none of their music can be found by just browsing alphabetically in library view. I have changed the sorts, deleted the library and did a re-scan etc. Nothing. And comparing music I can see correctly in the library view looks in the tags, I see it is identical except with a different artist. Attached are screens of the artist Aimee Mann and how the tags look in Audirvana. Why will this artist and others not appear in the library view?

Forget it....

After giving Damien grief about the initial release, Audirvana has become my #1 Audio player, meaning JRiver will not be getting a renewal this time around. With the bug fixes, and especially the addition of VST3 plugin support, sound quality and usability, it is now nearly perfect for what I wanted in a player. Anyhow.... HAPPY NEW YEARS to Damien and all the Audirvana users around the world. Always be open to new genres of music!

I had reported this earlier and it is still happening. Status bar shows ether 100% or 0%...no progression while a song is playing. Here it is at 0% and around 40% into the song. Other issue I have is that in this view the album art is so dark it is very hard to see. Not sure if it supposed to be like this or not but I feel it should be more visible. In this view, the middle one with the "sound" icon is also dark and looks odd....just being a dark square. Not sure if this is also intentional.

I know they are working on it......Once they do, I will phase out JRiver.....

Yes there are, but I read there are some differences....

Try flushing your DNS or use another one like Google at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

If I add music to my folder while Audirvana is open, it appears to take awhile to update. But I think it is a bug. It is like the status bar freezes, and looks like it is still indexing when it is really finished. Sometimes just clicking on the status bar makes it disappear. Or restarting Audirvana. If I add music while Audirvana is closed and then open it, indexing completes in seconds. I have 30k in files and a fresh index takes less than 20s.

Might be a bug.... In the small player there is no visual of where the song is in its playback. But sometimes it shows a light blue bar...but it is always the full length. Basically attached is an image showing a song around 50% in with both a bar and no bar.....

With the Schiit DAC, the popping happened in both JRiver MC 24 and Audirvana. I contacted Schiit and they said it was normal. DAC's can be programmed with firmware to enable a mute circuit if available. Schiit did not see this as an issue that they wanted to address. Doing searches for the issue when I had it, I determined it was a DAC manufacturer issue and not with the software. JRiver even has people complaining on their forums that were experiencing it and JRiver states the same. It was not their problem. JRiver does have some mute/delay options that can be added between tracks, but I could never get it to stop the popping. Until I switched DACs, I re-sampled all files to the same rate on the fly.

I was having DSD to PCM click/pop issues with a Schiit DAC....It had to do with sample/rez changes from file to file. When I changed to a new DAC that stopped. Now I have zero pops etc when playing any file type or changing sample rates etc.

I have 1583 albums and I don't have an issue. My music is pulling off a local HD and not an SSD.
