The Parks Audio Waxwing is a great option. If you're going to convert to digital, you might as well do RIAA in the digital domain, and the Waxwing does a great job of that. The RME ADI-2/4 Pro SE does this as well for 5x as much money.

Update, I've had it hooked up for ~48 hours now. In my system with a Finisar SFP I'm hard-pressed to say I can hear any difference as compared to my previous setup of a tp-link FMC with a Channel Islands 9v linear power supply. It doesn't seem to be worse, just nothing profoundly better. Still, it's working flawlessly and removes a box from my rack, so I'm not displeased.

Any estimate of when they might ship? SGC was taking preorders to ship in June, seems like that won’t happen?

I have a 2960G feeding optical to a tp link to a Matrix ipro3 and recently replaced the internal SMPS with an external iFi ipower2 power supply and saw significant improvement. Definitely worth investigating further.

I've had one on order for a month or so, I'd imagine a design change might relate to the difficulty of obtaining some component pieces, but will be interesting to see if it's just a typo.
