Need testers for Eunhasu Alpha version no.0.5.61

I've reverted back to just using Roon without any upsampling. I used to use HQ Player and upsample everything. But after getting an NOS DAC I decided I pretty much preferred running everything at whatever native output that Qobuz via Roon provides. At this time, I'm very happy with this simple setup. No filters, No upsampling, no convolution or anything. Just Roon Ready active in the SMS200 Ultra Neo output via an Audioquest Diamond USB to my Holo Audio Spring3 KTE DAC. So, that's the configuration of 144Mhz on my SoTM (or is it SOtM i've seen it both ways) -

I finally got around to lowering the CPU frequency from 528 to 144mhz and I'm pretty surprised on the difference in sound. Everything is sharper, clearer and more defined. It's almost like I got a new DAC. -

Can May or anyone explain why the frequency of the CPU in the SMS200 Ultra Neo makes any difference to the sound quality? Logic would seem to say that the faster the CPU can process complex high resolution files the better... not the opposite. -
Yes, I've always assumed it was controlling the "speed" of the CPU in the SMS200. It has nothing to do with the PC- of course we're not even connected to the PC but to the network.

I "think" I like NO Tune best. The differences are pretty minute on my system. I like that I can change the CPU Mhz and the System Tune without rebooting. So you can pretty quickly run through the whole set. I'm running 528hz and No Tune. Sounds clear, clean and well balanced. But then the other "Tunes" don't sound all that different.

I save all the packaging I can. I like to buy and sell online and nothing inspires confidence like original packaging. Admit it... when you buy used gear you like getting something in original packaging - and so does everyone else. It's easy for me, I have a large attic and even a closet in my listening room for smaller items. That said, sometimes I buy gear locally and then it's much less likely to have packaging. I don't like that, but it's usually much less expensive when bought locally.

Yes! This is important info we are missing. -
The SRC-DX USB to S/PDIF DDC by Audiowise takes a USB signal and converts it to S/PDIF 75ohm BNC connections. It is capable of outputting up to 768kHz resolution PCM (no DSD) when used on DACs that can accept dual S/PDIF inputs i.e. Chord Qutest, Hugo TT2 and others. I used this with my Chord Hugo TT2 DAC bypassing the TT2’s USB input and I felt it gave notably better sound quality. If you don't have a dual S/PDIF DAC It can also be used simply to convert a USB output from your computer, network streamer, etc into a single S/PDIF capable of delivering 384hz PCM resolution with great sonic results. This SRC-DX is in little used condition, I'm selling because I no longer own my Hugo TT2 DAC. My asking price is $200 and includes two BNC>BNC cables and free shipping in CONUS. PayPal only and there are no extra PayPal fees charged. The SRC-DX retails new for $325 with the two BNC cables.

Still selling used on eBay for close to $1000+. I sold my JVC above on eBay for $300 and the new owner says it's a great deck. I know there's some press reports of a cassette come back, but who need another physical medium to spend money on? I understand that some local/indy bands are self-publishing on cassette due to low cost and selling them at shows.

Wow, I have DSD on the output panel set to none. But I changed the DSD Sources from Sync-M to poly-ext2 and it magically dropped the Desktop App from 1.45gb to under 100mb. Since DSD is not active why would that DSD Sources setting on the PCM output setup panel have anything to do with anything????

Makes no change. I had already tried Bits at 24 and saw no change as well.

Actually, I have nothing being upsampled or any filters set. I am only using PCM and here's my PCM tab and the Activity Monitor for the app at this setting:
-
Thanks... but that made memory go from 1.42gb to 1.46gb. That small rise is inconsequential but it didn't go down.
-
Thanks for that. So, I just changed mine from "default" to 16 pipelines. This did lower the app's RAM usage from 4.16gb to 1.42gb. So, not as low as yours. Are there other changes to that Advanced tab that I should use? Here's how it's currently set:
